If u wanna go cheap just buy an aftermarket muffler and a nice exhaust tip and have your local muffler shop just weld it on for you.

get jacks and jackstands and jack up the end of the car and set it on the jackstands.

remember, you get what you pay for.

I bought the fireball, and I'm just waiting for it to be delivered. I got a lot of positive feedback for it, so I'm saying go for it!

yeah I agree, really good exhuast.. all you have to do is cut a bit on the hangers so you wont bang on the side of your car when you turn to hard..
is it really actually good for 100 bucks? even im... unsure with something THAT cheap. i cant seem to find the dang tsudo exhaust! they dont carry it on speed element anymore!

Do not feel bad, Ive done a lot of searching and have the money, but it seems subjective on performance gains.

Ultimately I used you tube clips and ads for the strup. It advertises more power, seems quieter than the dc sports.

Now if I can find a 4 2 1 header..........

^^^ hmm ... from what i know, the strup is one of the loudest exhausts. DC is like in the middle.

421? look for OBX or weaponR (MMW).

Oh gawd, here we go again. Will see in a few days. I am just glad the mufflers give a throatie vs a 2 stroke dirt bike sound, one reason I never considered upgrading the exhaust.

I have searched and seems the 4 2 1 headers are tc only. All the xaxb are either mislabeled and either in the fine print says 41 or the photo shows a 41 header.

no, weaponR/MMW, alphawerks, and OBX are 4-2-1 headers. they are short 4-2-1, but they are that design and not mislabeled. all others that i know of are 4-1.

and back to exhausts, i'm sure you'll be pretty happy with the exhaust you chose anyways!

Needless to say, after reading the exhaust thread, seems no one posts about removing the strup like they do the dc because of highway drone. Not to mention a post in that it feels like it gives some performance improvement.

Plus its the cheapest and does not look that meaty in relation to others. Just a pipe with a coffee can on the end of it.

Shorty headers? Do I dare ask in that case about going with polished, cereamic? I did notice one photo showed the two pairs being combined as they entered the collector, but all bragg about being race proven with more higher end gains vs low to mid. Can you help me pick one?

Can you post a link?

true 4 2 1, not 06 http://www.turbotechracing.com/produ...4&idcategory=0

4 2 1??? Does not look like it.
http://autosportstyle.com/shop/scion...r-p-66032.html

they claim 4 2 1, but scion is 4 1
http://www.statracing.com/buy/megan-header.asp

Shorty 4 2 1??? They pipes seemed paired off before the collector http://www.scispeed.com/stainless-st...-scion-xa.html

another 4 2 1 shorty?? http://www.sparktecmotorsports.com/h10591bs.html

421 or 41 can not tell??? Looks like a bait n switch http://www.street-power.com/dcspscxaxbce.html

going polished or ceramic does not make much of a difference, though ceramic (as the DC is) does tend to keep heat temps in that area of the engine bay down. it's all personal preference at that point.
yes, if you look at the ones you pointed out, the weapon-R and the OBX are 4-2-1 design. let me emphasize again that our headers are very short, and thus the difference in performance or whatever between 4-1 and 4-2-1 designs are pretty much moot IMO. remember, the point of the header design is to provide tuned exhaust flow, and with such short headers, the two are pretty much the same when it comes down to it. now, if you're looking for bragging rights or show points, it's up to you.
in short, 4-1 provides more top end power, while the 4-2-1 will provide more low end power.
i personally went with strup.

strup is a 4-1, not 4-2-1.
many of the sponsored sale companies sell the strup header. they should be in the classifieds.
