Default GT-S engine swap possible in an xB??

First off, i apologize if this is covered time and time again, but this search engine produces off the wall stuff!! I've searched and searched for the las 1/2 hour and can't find anything.

Would it even be possible to swap a GT-S motor into an xB??

I'm coming from a turbocharged 02 civic ex (ball bearing T25 @ 9lbs) to an xB, and 108hp just isn't cutting it for me even as an econo get me from point A to point B car.

yes. but alot of work and you would need to use the non gts 1zz 5spd transmission to make fitment even possible.

I think it's entirely possible. If they can fit it into a Lotus Elise or an MR-S then there's no doubt you can shoe horn it into an xB. there's still considerable space inside the engine bay for the 2ZZ. of course it doesn't seem like a simple drop the engine, new mounts and raise the new one back in but no one said that kind of job would be easy. if i had money to burn i'd go for a custom swap like that or a s/c or t/c any day. boosted cars are fun no doubt, i've had a hand full of different t/c'd cars but there's nothing like more displacement AND boost. *grin* (or a lightly modded n/a)

Speed is just a question of money, how fast do you want to go?

ive heard of the motor being in a car, but it not running, the problem with this swap is fairly large. the motor is too big, the tranny is too big as well, so to get it to fit youll need several if not all of these things, a custom subframe, modified firewall, modified frame, and maybe even an extension on the front end. the one i heard about that i mentioned early i guess had major fitment issues, forcing them to put it in at an angle that was not condusive to running right. to my knowladge the project was scrapped....but this is just hearsay
