Default Need help on a flexplate problem.

I have a xb company car. It had a blown engine. The #4 rod had knocked a hole in the oil pan and both sides of the block.
Anyway,
Put in a used engine and the starter wont engage correctly.
There is a dent in the starter where a piece of the block hit it.
There also was metal shavings in the bellhousing and starter.
I cleaned out the starter and the bellhousing (took the starter apart)
I thought everything was good but.... I NEED HELP.
Could someone with a automatic and mechanical know-how remove the plastic inspection cover that covers the flexplate and tell me or take a photo of the flexplate teeth. I need to know if you can see the welds on the flexplate to the teeth or if there is a 1/4 inch lip on the teeth to the flexplate. If so I put the darn flexplate on backwards . If not I have a bad starter.

I know this is a first post but I need help on this asap Please!

WOW!!!
I got more help over at Yarisworld than I got here.

Incase everyone was wondering the flexplate was on backwards.
I swapped it over today.

There is a ring pressed in to the flexplate the rise points to the engine and the valley goes to the converter.

Thanks for the help and replys
