Default Nitrous on Xb

We are just finishing up a nitrous kit on the XB. We put a fogger with a 35hp jet in it... Haven't used it yet...lil worried. Anybody runnin nitrous? I'm just a little nervous about the plastic intake, if it will be able to handle it...

Default plastic

How is NO2 going to hurt plastic? Compucar uses a plastic tube setup to feed the NO2 to the intake from their bottle.

Default NO2

Did you research any of the previous NO2 installs? Are you running any kind of computer fuel conrtol? You need to be running an air/fuel gauge and a EGT to be safe. I have seen engines blown up when NO2 was used wrong.

hahaa...thats my thread. i saw this thread and i was like...uh oh. don't be anxious to shoot 35. thats not much. it will be a tiny boost. if you want to keep it safe, then dont squeeze under 3k. and be careful to squeeze in first gear, as you can spin tires and easily hit rev limiter. to play it safe...start squeezing after u put it in second. just don't do what i did...no 75 shot.

Not to worry. I'm coming from a few years of experience with d17's (01+ honda civics). These ran plastic intake manifolds as well, and i've succsesfully ran a 75 shot with no damage to the plastic. If anything, nitrous is COLD coming out of the jets.

Hahahaha, nitrous on the box..........................kids and their toys. Funny how not many people notice its just an ECHO!!!! The wrist pin in the piston is probably no stronger than a can drink tab
