Thank you for kind words. I can honestly tell you that my car has had a lot of hard work put into it. After I bought my Greddy kit I was eatting cup of noodles for a while. Working on other friends Scions is what got me my job at Ptuning. Working at Ptuning is my dream job and it has its perks, my car has come a long way since I have worked there.

i dont mean to thread jack, or change subject, but i had a question for anyone with an xA. is there a speed or RPM limiter and where does it hit? i firm on keepn the streets clean and safe of racin and dumb stunts but i was just curious? I've heard the auto was set to bout 110-115 but does anyone know bout the stick? i would want to guess there bout the same but i know of at least two cars, focus and corolla, where the auto and Manual aren't limited the same.auto stops em both at about 115, but the manual(at least on the focus) ended up reaching 135 stock, with out hitting either limiter.now i know it's just a 1.5L and no race car but im still curious. im asking this also because i know some people who wanted to run some speed traps out in Saltin area(desert couple hours away from where i live) and one of em' had a boosted xA.

im pretty sure its around 120-125 on a man but to be honest you will prolly never hit it without some help with f/i or spray or something and you will hafta be going downhill with the wind at your back lol....

I experienced this last weekend, every lap lol. I wasnt staring at the speedo but it was 120mph when I felt it. When you hit it, the sensation is similar to letting off the gas pedal. It is not like running into a rev limiter. Also when you do hit it, power is cut for 3 seconds... and on a strait-a-way during a time attack that feels like FOREVER.

oh wow haha, well thats that. i figured the xA wouldn't be breaking any land speed records, just nice to know were its set at. so im assuming thats a speed limiter and not a rev. and so my next question would be: is it possible to bypass? or is it hard wired and uncircumventable. because i've heard of faster but maybe there just BSing

yes a stand-alone would bypass that because it is the only thing controlling the motor. You can also (if you have a piggy-back) wire up this... http://www.ptuning.com/html/Item-Des...niversal%20Fit . Keep in mind that when you do remove speed cut, you won't have that much gear left anyways with factory ser 6400 rev limiter. You may get another 4-8mph out of it. The E-manage Ultimate already has the speed cut eliminator built in.

do you guys know of any other tranny's that would fit the 1nz-fe with any larger ratios or something that wouldn't require an insane amount of retro work and custom fabs? because i got a guy who can install this stuff, i just got to have the money to pik up the transmission

With Viet's box, he ordered a Yaris trans. The casing is a bit different and the shift link mechanisim is in a different spot. But from what I have heard the Echo trans is a direct swap. Im gonna take apart that Yaris transmission and see if the gear sets are the same, if they are im gonna swap them in.

Nice work, Justin. Car looks like a lot of fun!!!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eaJ3wfGkYo0

Found my Flip camera and also footage of my 1st practice session at Aprils time attack.
This was my 1st time out with the larger turbo set-up. I learned 3 things... 1) I still am in need of an lsd. 2) I needed more rpm to extend the powerband. 3) The factory ecu would NOT allow my car to go past 115-120mph.

Those things are now addressed except for the lsd. This was at 220whp

Yea driving still counts ya know? I don't know if you noticed there at the end I was catching an ACR viper. It must have been his 1st track experience I dunno. I did shoot by that s2000 like a rocket but what was embarrising was seconds later I hit speed cut and my car lost all power for a few seconds so he was right there LOL.
