oh and that run was at 6400 ft above sea level a general rule of thumb is you loose a second up here so that would be low 12s high 11s at sea level

Thats great tool bag, You don't need to prove anything to me. I did this just for pure fun. This car is a toy not even a daily driver. Most of the stuff I build is NHRA drag racing. Prostock etc. so enjoy your XB this was a drop in the bucket for me.

Kevin, about those corners... yeah if you didn't notice I have 13" front and rear disc. I can stop on a dime. I'm the only 1st Gen XB with those kinda brakes. Good luck finding rear disc with internal parking brake. The ones on my car I made at the shop over a weekend. I'll out brake any XB.

The reason xbgod's car is amazing is that it doesn't have the 2.4L of the new xB. Of course the 2.4 is a lot easier to get horsepower gains.

You two should race though...2,600 lbs against 3,300 lbs.

At the time of my transmission build I was in Iraq working for the military. My good friend who was putting the motor back in over at Prestige Performance sent it out for me. So I'm not sure who he spoke to or worked with. Sorry dude. I just know he sent it to Level 10 and then installed the 4.3 Fidenza clutch and aluminum Flywheel.

To a certain extent you're right. Although you have way bigger brakes than my stock size stoppers, You still have full interior, lack chassis bracing, you're wheels are a bit on the heavy side and are probably bigger than 16 inches.

I have either Hawk or Axxis Ultimates, Power Slot rotors, DOT4 fluid, and stainless braided lines, my xB weighs in under 2200 lbs, is completely gutted, and I use either 16x7 5Zigen FN01R-C's (which weigh in at 13 lbs) or 15x7 Enkei RPF1's which weigh in just under 10lbs. All that less weight in the chassis, and less unsprung weight translates into much better stopping distance, and way more lateral grip at the corners.

Again I'm not trying to argue with you, Just trying to convince you to continue you're build into a track monster... I see the potential... Keep up the good work!

Oh....one more thing Kevin,

12 point chromly-cage welded to sub fram, undercariage reinforced with chromoly tubeing. Axis Reverb rims (hollowed out spokes). Come on now did you think I was going to run a heavy rim. I know James Chin the owner of Axis wheels. Between the structual reinforcement and Brakes like no other, it handles like its on rails. Thank god I just don't have a bolt on strut brace and those subframe bolt-on's that someone dreamed up cause they found some holes to use underneath.
Also using steel braided lines...well because thats all I can use. And DOT 4 fluid as well. As long as the boiling point is high your fine. Did I also mention I run JIC magic Dampner system. Fully adjustable camber, double adjustable struts. Brother nothing has went undone on this car. Their is 60K invested between my self and sponsors.

i still think this one might be faster!!!!!

As we become a more automotively diverse culture you're bound to see dozens of modded Scions and JDM Nissans with Fairlady badges on one side of town, and some good old boys in their Camaros and small-block powered Novas on the other. Rick, of Whitemarsh, Maryland, has found a way to roll with both crews by dropping a stroked 350 V8 good for 450 horsepower in his 2004 Scion xB.
