Heres my concerns..
- No emanage tune, or any other ecu tune? How are you guys not running too lean or too rich automatically? Tons of people have had issues with the ecu, including me on the n/a route. I know you guys do this for a living, but that sounds fishy to me unless you have an explaination.
- 8psi and 180whp? I've seen a 7.5psi, fully tuned xb hit just above 140-145whp, i do realize that this can be human error, and more than likely is but thats a huge jump with only .5psi, is there something your keeping secret?
- What are your goals for the automatic xb?
- I plan to trade my xb in for the yaris hatch, can you guys work with me if this kit proves to me to be reliable and produce a kit for the yaris guys? Or make a custom one for me?
Thanks.

Do you plan to invest in some kind of stand alone in the future for a possible different stage? Something like the tC where you have stage 0 and stage 1, do you plan to do something along the lines of this with the xb only including a stand alone? You could yeild a lot more whp with a good tune, which is something i'm sure you guys can do.
The kit will come with ore tuned emanage. The point of not having one on the car was to prove that with a correctly built MAF pipe you can run these cars safely with out a piggy back unit.
We engineer the kits to work before the emanage, thus making our tune less critical and easier to duplicate the numbers in all parts of the country. This is why our tC kit makes the same or similar power in AZ, TX and KY etc..
The turbo selection, intercooler design, piping design, pipe diameter, etc… All play an affect on overall performance. We spend a lot of timing perfecting this stuff using software, flow charts, and sometimes good ol' fashion trial and error.
To say why we can and some can't I can not answer. I would say more than anything is they can they chose not to. Call one of the Big 3 as we call them and try to talk to a tech on the phone. It is close to impossible. They build this stuff over seas and they ship it here and sell it to their dealers. You will buy it regardless so why take the time and money to design it right when you can design it cheap. We are a smaller company that takes a lot of pride in our customer service and our products. We feel this gives us the advantage as we can perfect each system as we are in no hurry to move on to the next one.
You really can not compare the s/c to a turbo in the first place. And we have not really seen any other turbo kits out there. The Greddy kit uses a smaller turbo, intercooler and piping. I am sure this has a lot to do with the power differences.
If you have any other questions please feel free to post and please ignore my grammatical errors. Luckily, spelling is not my career.

We did three numbers back to back and the results where very consistent. The weather in Louisville today is very very humid in the low to mid 80’s. We are very pleased with the numbers and think if we lean the car out a little more power can be had. We are confident that with cool evening weather we could get close if not break the 200whp if we leaned to car out a little.
The mods on the xB are as follows.
ZPIracing turbo kit
Custom Exhaust
NO EMANGE TUNING
ZPI MAF pipe
92 Octane Premium unleaded
The box has 7900 miles or so 4k of that has been turbo charged all the runs where made on the stock plugs at stock gap.
Enjoy please post up questions or concerns.

what kind of warrenty is offered with kit? after all of the EL Prototypes turbo stuff i'm worried about longevity. any plans on making stronger internals...i know back when EL Prototypes was on this board they had some part that kept breaking....
car has bigger injectors which come with the turbo kit. No emanage tuning meaning the car has no EMS on it and is running off of our MAF pipe and stock ecu.
The AFR ar in the low 10's entire time under boost. The car is a little rich at part throttle and that is what we will tune out with the emanage.
As far as the auto stuff goes i am unsure at this time. We will be using the eManage ultimate to control the transmission electronics i would assume we will go with lower boost. At this time only time will tell as we will start tuning the auto this weekend.
