i bought the same one probably. i havent installed mine either. but from looking at it i think it goes over your old one. im going to have to modify my stock handle.

i got a chrome ebrake handle installed, and you have to either take the whole assembly out like i did, or juss dremel the plastic cover off.... u have to cut through bout a good quarter to a half inch of plastic...... the cleanest way is to take the center cup holder thing out, then take the two bolts out holding the ebrake assembly in place, and take out the little wires that connect to the assembly... then cut the plastic cover off, put everything back in place.... and finally install the new cover.... looks good when ur done though

I got mine off without destroying it. I heated it for a few min with a hair dryer and then twisted it. It turned some. I keep heating it and twisting it till it got loose and came off.

Don't mutilate it. Wrap it with a shop towl then grab it in a vise. Then use a heat gun to heat the handle up considerably. You can even heat the metal to conduct heat to where they handle meets the metal. Then just keep twisting. You'll eventually be able to start turning it and pull the handle off. You'll get it off in about 5 - 10 minutes this way and you'll have the handle saved in perfect condition in case you want to put it back on. This is how I did mine and it worked great.
