No, he said he didnt want to lose the spare tire.... there is that perfect flat ledge right next to it that would work perfectly

That sucks then =/. I don't care about the amp that much. Spending a little more for a good amp is fine with me. But I was hoping to get the extra sq inch that the solobarics have so I could have the size of 10" subs but with more kick.

Which company makes the octogon shaped subs? And are they good/bad? I'm not fond of 8" subs. I have an 8" in my room and my friend has an 8" in his car. It hit's fine untill the lower end comes around and then it drops off in volume. And I don't want 12"s cuz of the space they take up. Should I just go with some good 10" subs then or would the 8" L7s be about as good?

the hifonics sq i have hits nice becouse its not rubber but it only comes in 12" i think. sony makes the subs you were talking about and im not a big fan of any sony car audio stuff. some alpine type r's are good for the price but im not sure what your looking at spending. on a compleatly unrelated note i just found some one to buy my kicker 1200.1 for $425 and im selling my hifonics atlas with the 1.5cubic foot box for $300 once this stuff is all gone im ordering 2 12" alpine type x subs and 2 of the hifoincs bx1800 watt amps then my ____ will hit realy hard i cant wait my plan is to run the subs at 2ohm for daily driving and "casual" listing then 1 ohm for comps this will hit realy hard i havent heard these subs running off of this amp but im sure they will be good i just need an alpine headunit now im looking at the 9833 but i think i might settle with the 9831

I think I'll go with 2 JL Audio 10w7 subs sense I'm a poor audiophile. They seem like good bang for your buck. I'll see if I can get them as an early birthday and xmas present. I haven't decided on an amp yet. But I want to put 500 watts to each sub. Any recomendations?

Well I only want to buy one amp. 2 500/1 amps, for example, would be really expensive even without the 2 w7 subs. I'm lookin for a 2 channel amp that puts out 500 watts rms per channel.

Or if could put an amp to each sub then they would have to be pretty inexpensive. Instead of putting a 500/1 to each sub would I instead bridge a 250/1 to each amp?
