Default Navigation Head Unit

Hey all, couple questions if you don't mind helping me . I am gonna be looking into getting a new head unit sometime in the near future for my 06 xb and just wondering what you all think. I want a navagation system with a touch screen but that can also hook up with my ipod. Also if possible have the headunit be able to be controlled through the steering wheel controls. Thanks!

I would recommend the Pioneer Avic-D2. I have it in my Tc with the optional steering wheel controller, and it works great. I do not have the Ipod adapter, but you can get one for it.

got me a z1, but not really worth it for the money, cause you gotta pay a lot more for the extra accessories like the ipod jack, it wont work with your steering wheel controls but there is a way around that, the lesser expensive d2 sounds good, or an eclipse

If you can wait until March, Pioneer debuted the Avic-D3 at CES today... Looks sweet and should come in around a $1000.

Only HU that can do it right out of the box: Eclipse AVN6600. No need for adapters to use the steering wheel controls, just plugs right into your car's wiring harnesses, touch-screen, good NAVI, and great sound. The iPod interface is VERY good also!!!

And Eclipse = Fujitsu Ten = Toyota = Scion...

ohhh, and it has an internal DVD player so no need for external DVD player like with Pioneer. And you can just ground the e-brake wire and you can play movies while car is moving...
