Default problem with interior clock and trip-meter

i just recieved my 2006 scion xb

but everytime i program my clock its fine but once i get out it resets everytime i get back in my car.......at exactly 1:00

now the trip meter does the same thing, but my odometer is on point.... i could really care less about the clock, but i would love for my trip-meter to work bc thats how i stay up on my gas mileage.....

here's how you fix that issue -

Insert the keys into the ignition, and turn and hold until the engine starts.

Drive back to the delaership and come unglued. =) That's not a 'feature', it's a BUG.

It might also be helpful for you to test it out a bit - exactly what has to happen before the clock resets - is it from opening the door? is it from the remote entry on lock/unlock/both?

But seriously, you should prolly take it back to the dealer asap.

My friend has a Kia that the clock would stop after an hour but when you turned the key on it would start until an hour after the key was out. it ended up being recalled for that reason.

it sounds like your gauge cluster is not wired correctly. I would take cherryBox's advice and take it right on back to the dealership and get them to fix it.
