This may be a stupid question, but I am lost. My wife want to install an amp and some subs, but she want to keep the factory radio. I am a little confussed on where to hook up the remote wire from the amp. Can someone please me. Thank you

You want to hook it up to the switched 12volt power wire behind the radio, so it turns off and on with the car. Here is the link to all the wire colors you will need for the whole car almost. Good luck.

I have one of these for sale for $35 shipped if interested. It is a plug and play wiring harness so you dont have to any splicing to add an amp to the factory stereo. PM me if interested.

The only problem with those is you get a huge voltage spike when you turn the key on and off, potentially creating a loud popping sound out the subwoofer... An inline 4ohm resistor would solve that problem though.
