tC tweeters
I have a set of tweeters and I want to know if they are better than the stock tweeters. I got them for free so I don't know how good they are. They are Phoenix Digital.
Here are the specs:
Max Power: 300w/Pair
Max Continuous Power: 150W
Sensitivity: 92dB@ 1W/1M
Frequency Response: 2KHz-20KHz
Built in Crossover: 4.7uF/50V capacitor
Rated Impedance: 4 ohms
Should I put them in?

I'd recommend upgrading your other components before tweeters... they are the weaker link in my opinion.. midranges are very easy to distort, haven't yet made the highs do it..
Can't wait to replace these suckers.

but do you know if the ones i have are better than stock? I wouldn't want to make my system sound worse by installing them, but then again if they are better, why should i let a good pair of tweeters go to waste.
Well, those tweeters are meant to be used with an amplifier. Your sound would probably be worse off if you installed them over the stockers which run with the regular wattage out of the head unit.
i bet you they will sound the same as the stock tweeters. it wierd, my stock rear speakers sounded better than my 6.5" fusion compnents, the components aren't built for any bass lower than 200 hz...so i lost out on those, but i spent a good amount of time drilling new holes, so whatever, i kept them. the tweeters sounded a little bit sweeter in the back.
the tC has one of the best stock systems i've ever heard

you're rear speakers are attenuated from your front speakers.....you need to run new direct wiring to the components to get their full affect......there is some type of resistor in the wiring somewhere from the factory.....best solution is to run new better wire....
