Hey guys, Has anyone ever heard of a way to plug in a laptop to a touchscreen?? i am looking to get somekind of interface to where i can have the laptop be controlled by a touch screen in the xb. Is there a way to do this, like a disconnectable carputer???

 

If you are running windows xp on your laptop you can run a second monitor. I am not sure if it would react to the touchscreen interface but I would think it would if you loaded the proper drivers. I used to use two screens at work one for email and one for doing work.


You would just need to install a plug in for the second monitor, the problem may be though you laptop would have to be open so as to not go into hibernate mode which sort of defeats the purpose.

 

Should be able to disable hibernate mode. And iirc, you can find touchscreens that use a USB interface for the touchscreen, so I would think it is possible.

 

I have a touch screen. A USB interface is required.

 

Ubow is that touchscreen in your Car? thats what im lookin for. I guess ill just have to wait till i get the laptop so i can see what its about.
