Jeff "acid" lent me a 15" elemental designs e15A.22 woofer so i built a box for it since im selling the 3 12's that I had.







i have since decided to buy the speaker off of jeff since it sounds incredible... he gave me a good deal since i hooked up with his install n his box.


im probably gonna build something to go on each side of the box to fit some new mids n highs.. we'll see

 

what made you get rid of your other subs? they were p2 rockfords right? did you ever get it metered wit the system you had before? just curious, your install looks pretty tight though, what are the specs on your box?

that looks crazy, how much airspace is in it?

 

its about 2.5 cu ft tuned to 30hz

my 3 12" box was bigger so this is a nice step down in size.

it definately hits like a sledgehammer.. definately louder n harder than the 3 12's.

 

what do you have powering that monster?>

 

right now im just using one of my rockford p3001 amps n it hits just fine by me.. i plan on upgrading to either an
Orion 2500D,
PPI DCX1500.1/DCX1000.1,
Soundstream tarantula 2000,
hifonics brutus BX1800D,
or Rockford T20001BD

not totally positive yet.. depends on what remains after xmas and selling all the rockford equipment i still have.

 

and its crazy with the p3001?? save the money let it bang with that.

you do realize the t2001bd will kill your charging system right?
he's in the "zone" let him play... =D his old system was loud enough for me...

im tossing ideas of what amp to run... something thats just a bit stronger than the one i have. i'd like to be in the range of the speaker anyways.. i just found out that the woofer was 1000rms/1500peak. i'd just like to stay near that range.

anywhere from 1000-1500
really hate the idea of underpowering it
