Default What is this Vehicle part?

I live in Ohio and am dealing with the ice and snow. A huge buildup of ice and snow attached itself to a wire (?) Located on the underneath back area on my xB.
I can't see where it starts from but runs near my exhaust pipe and across the back of the car.
It is possibly 1 or more wires in a black plastic cover. The brake lights, rear wiper, and hazard lights still work and i was able to still drive w/o any obvious problems.

Any one have any idea what this is?

Is this on the interior of the vehicle behid the plastic panel or the exterior? Left hand (driver) side has a skid control sensor wire going to the brake drum. Could also be a yaw sensor or something for the fuel system.

its most likely the wire that runs across the bumper for the side marker lights. check to make sure they are working on both sides

I'm going to try and insert some pics.. sorry in advance if they dont work right.
The pics are of the underneath of the back of the xb and of the wire and the connector where it appears to have broken off.
There is also a tag with numbers on the wires and there is a green and yellow wire in the plastic wrap.

My guess would be the harness for the rear sidemarkers.

Should plug back in, unless the connectors are damaged...

Yes, rear sidemarker wires. I had the same thing happen and it actually broke my light housing so I had to buy a new sidemarder.

yes it has snapped off. the weight of the ice & snow kicked up from the tires broke it.

I had the same thing happen to my box. If its still under the bumper to bumper warranty a dealer might be able to help you out. At least mine did.
