Default 2005 TCM xB - rebuilt title, 21k, what's it worth?

http://oklahomacity.craigslist.org/ctd/1193798490.html

My dad's looking for an xB, he won't stop bugging me about borrowing mine all the time. His Echo's pretty beat up, how much do you guys think is a fair price for this xB, assuming it's been properly rebuilt?

If you buy it I will traxe you a stock TCM bumper for the JP Visage (Fiberglass) bumper that is on it now.....

That is a decent price considering the mileage and location.

its a decent price for the mileage, but i would expect the price to be less because of the rebuilt title.

it looks good but a rebuilt cars will have its problems every once in a while. I just sold my 2005 Scion xB with 40,000 miles for $8200...

I would pay somewhere between 4 to 5K or just try to find one with a clean title and well kept with the 8 grand.

I would also be weary, check with your insurance to make sure you can get insurance on it. I know with some companies they will not insure rebuilt/salvage titles.

I got my 06 RS3.0 xB for $8500, and it's not a salvage title. Salvage title cars should go for a minimum of $2500 under the lowest prices for similar undamaged cars.

I just bought an 05 xB with salvage title which i am rebuilding now. I see a lot of myths in the replies here.
Yes price should be less than $8.5k for the rebuilt title.
No rebuilt cars do NOT have problems all the time, I only use rebuilt cars, I have 3 in the driveway, had all for over 5 years and not a single problem out of the ordinary, 01 Camry Solara - Rebuilt the whole front, 03 Saturn L200 and 93 Accord SE. I repeat no problems out of the ordinary on all 3 of them. No one is going to give you that car with 20k miles for $4 or 5k.
Yes try and get pics of before damage or send out an inspection service, they cost about $100 and can stiff out almost anything hidden, they will look the car all over, inside out, test drive it and give you a full detailed report.
All major insurance companies insure them, from Ameriprise to nationwide to farmers.
You won't get if for a minimum of $2.5k under what they go for, I have sold tons of them at usually 25% under trade in or private party price.
I can only vouch for the standard of my own repairs and not the guy selling that one, but a straight xB without all the modification, rebuilt and with that mileage, you should be looking around $7000 to $7500.00. But you need to ask alot of questions and check out the work done, best bet use an inspection service like SGS.
