How much MPG do you get in your XB?
i'm getting from anyware 27-32mpg depends on how i feel on any given day. some days i run the box to kill it some days i drive like a old fart. but most of the time i race light to light. buy opening up with cai and a can on the back did help my gas milage but now with 17" on and racing dont help must sick because my rims with tires weight about 60lbs each
I'm getting on average 27-30 MPG. Don't know if it is the fact the I just barely broke 2K miles or what? But I'm no were near the 35-40 MPG people seem to be claiming.
I might have to pull my plugs and check the gaps. If the gaping is @ 27 like reported, I will regap them to 32.

Ok, I have an automatic and last week I only got 280 miles out of a full tank of gas because I was always on the gas and cruising on the freeway at 85mph or higher...So I pull (or coast) into the gas station and put 11.6 gallons of gas in a 11.7 gallon gas tank...This tank, I decide to drive normal, meaning taking off from lights slow and steady and cruise on the freeway at 70 mph (or 3000 RPM's) and this time I got 385 miles out of my tank...With the prices of gas approaching $3.00 a gallon, it looks like i'll be leaving for work a little earlier and driving NORMAL to get the most out of my tank...For those that are suffering from MPG in the high 20's, give this style of driving a shot and see if your mileage improves...FYI, I have 17's and CAI...

I have an '06, Polar White, and I added 18's a couple of weeks ago. My first tank (started at 11 miles) got 31 mpg, second was 27. It ranges from 26 to 30.5 mpg, and the average, for the first 4,600 miles, has been just under 29 mpg. I was hoping for more. No difference noted when I switched to the 18's, as the total diameter is nearly exactly the same as the factory 15's due to the low profile tires, which I have already damaged, thanks to Indiana potholes! I am pretty easy on the accelerator nearly all of the time, and drive 28,000 miles per year, so most of it is highway. I'll be taking a 600 mile road trip for work next week, and am anxious to see what I get.

Not sure how reliable my numbers can be, since my box just turned 1000 miles today. But the first 3 tanks were:
31.1
32.5
37.7
The final tank was with me driving it for one week to work. I drive more highway than my wife does, so i usually get better MPG. I filled the box last weekend, and drove it back and forth to work monday-friday. It has been warm here, so i used the AC every night on the way home form work. I drove between 60-75 on the highway. Since i was still breaking the car in, i have been pretty easy on it, shifting no later than 3500 RPM, and not mattting the go pedal.
I think without the AC, and with a broken in engne, i can do 40+. I am going to try for that. With the current gas situation, i am even happier that i bought this car.

(bump)
Stock 5-speed on 85-octane gas. I get about 38 mpg around city with a/c on half the time and somewhat spirited driving. The key to economy is to cruise in the highest gear -- if you don't stompt the throttle, the engine will pull from 20 mph in 5th gear with no lugging. I usually cruise in 4th above 30 mph and in 5th above 40 mph. xBs have very short gearing and will not get particularly good mileage at highway speeds.
