lol, sorry for the dumb ___ subject....

I was in Montreal Canada this past weekend....and OMG every single car that past me on the road had people staring at me. At first I thought it was that they didn't like New Yorkers. Then I started to realize that even the people in the street were staring. Obviously Xb's Scions didnt exist up their.
On at least 3 occassions I had guys pull up next to me, yappin away in french...my cousin translated for me and they all seemed to be in awe about a $15,000 bone stock, hub caps and all rollin box. Every time I pulled into a gas station, it was like I was drivin an enzo( reminds me of the bugatti veyron video on street fire). I never thought i'd be pumpin gas next to a Range Ro and a Porsche and there were people takin pics at MY car. There was this one guy that came up to me askin me if he could take a look inside and around the car. I said yea and opened all the doors, hood, and rear latch while my car looked like a transformer...he left wit a big cheese on his face, inspired i guess.
Usually in the US i get dirty looks, lol. It's nice to know that for a change some1 likes my new era yankee fitted on wheels.
Btw saw a couple of cars I had never seen...an acura EL which was obviously a rebodied 01+ civic sedan. And a nissan x-trail, which looked Alot like a rebodied crv?

 

lol - funny story. I actually saw a black xB here in Queens (new york) this weekend that had chrome slanted fender vents - like they have on the range rover!!! They looked awesome... Would be a nice mod on an xB....

we have to specialty import the xb's or xa's, and forget about even trying to import the tc's. the coupe doesn't pass impact standards in canada.

Thats cool..I was told Canada would not let the sales of scions happen because they were unsafe and dident meet the countrys safty laws....Im not sure it thats true but thats what I heard.

 

Toyota is huge in Canada and doesn't want to compete with itself. Besides they got the Yaris and Vitz way before we did. So it's even.

 

So I guess when I take my RS3.0 on a road trip to Sudbury in June I'll get lots of stares after crossing the border? I can't wait!

 

I'd prolly go visit Windsor next time I'm up in Detroit if the American customs people weren't on such a power trip. Major A holes every time I come back into the USA.
