I'd like to change my wiper stalk. My front sprayer switch portion is broke, I swapped the hoses and disconnect the rear wiper but yeah. Im curious how that header will work. I put a header on this 2.2 s10 i had and it made a huge improvement

OK, looks like there is some win on the rr view mirror front that does not involve sticking wedge to glass and allows using existing mount location. Bob the Mirror Guy has come through again........FJ bracket (headliner mount on one end - wedge mirror mount on other) to mount autodim/homelink/maplight/compass/temp mirror with whatever color display I want. Leaning towards light blue. Comes with mount, mirror, harness & temp probe to run up front somewhere. Have installed same type mirrors in both my other vehicles so that's no issue. Just another option for others if desired. This'll get rid of me carrying garage door opener and adds maplight up front - compass/temp are bonuses........................

Can you link to the Mount?
I searched "scion xb" on his eBay store but it didn't turn up. I never thought about just getting a Mirror with Map Lights.
I didn't want to mess around cutting the headliner to add a Prius dome light when I read that was an option.

Are the dome light wire just in the A or B pillar?

Well, turns out that the metal up top not up to heavier mirror without it jiggling when driving even after adding a third screw to mount. Metal too thin up there so it will end up being getting a wedge glued to windshield and using oem mount for RAM mount fon holder or selling homelink mirror it seems. Bummed, didn't forsee the weight being an issue.

Hi, I was today to change the oil on my Scion xB 2004 (167k) miles.
I was surprise to see that under the car looks like boring.
What do the car lover do to beautify places like under the car?

In this picture is the passenger side.
Do the car lover can improve the appearance under their car?

Here is the picture with the engine oil pan.
What is the best color to paint so will look better?

Gold is my favorite color. If I had infinite money I'd have the bottom of your car wrapped in gold leaf. LOL

Realistically you could use some rust converter. Around me they sell it in flat and gloss black.

@04_Toaster, I order with red color the bolts. Pair sway bar links Made in USA to out last China K90390. In description is mentioned that those will improve the performance of the car. Will be more quiet, higher wear resistance, and longer life (this implying that will live longer than the car owner)?
They not mentioned from what material is made. Because have red color I assume that is made from polyurethane. Thank you.

Pair sway bar links. Replacement for Scion xB 2004.

@04_Toaster, Hi, Black color looks OK. How is now after this replacement the driving feeling? What will be your next move in terms of maintaining the car?
On my car I am looking to the facts and the "folklore". I am using this scionlife platform as a guide to do my future car maintenance.

How is your hatch's rubber unlock switch cover? Mine was gummed up in the summer and frozen stiff in the winter and I didn't know you could replace it for a few years.

Haven't had any issues with that but have seen the parts available in several places in my searches for other things.

I use this forum as well as one other for my guide to add OEM options. Not going super crazy with mine although I do love what all is possible and been done by many.

Lots of OEM ideas in this thread. It's where I got lots of info and direction for what I've done to mine............

https://www.clubxb.com/threads/oem-a.../#post-1515519

Looking to add this dual pillar gauge setup next to have oil pressure and water temp. Will use that green color like in pic since it will match cup holder and stereo lighting choice. Gauges come with 7 color options. Have the pillar pod part but waiting on
gauges and will need T fitting to have OEM oil light and run gauge. Also need the radiator splice fitting to add the water temp probe. Then viola.........opted for this vs drilling dash even tho I think that would be cleaner looking. Easier way out, lol........

First mod of the year was single wire mod to have independent OEM fog lights. Works whenever with key or no key,
brights or not, parking lights or as DRL by themselves. Only thing is to make sure they are turned off when walking away from it.

Wow, haven't posted here in a minute or so......current to do list is Rostra CC install using rf switch instead of stalk but need to move ground wire kit hub to another location......and install Injen Air Intake/filter. Still needing to do the combo cooling system hoses/ thermostat/water temp gauge temp probe fitting and wiring. Bout time for another oil/filter change and mulling over going back to OEM Eng Cover instead of the CF one (maybe). Also need to score T fitting to run OEM oil light and oil pressure gauge. Another thing would be to prowl junkyards for an 8p8 or Black Wing and whatever other treasure that might have been left behind but that can wait until cooler temps come around. Oh, happen to have some ES motor mount inserts that could stand to jump the f off the workbench and into use at some point. Then there's the clutch cable bushings on gearbox side as well as the shifter side.........yeah, a pile of stuff to do, lol.
