Not slammin anyone in particular, no really I'm not. But, I've seen a lot of "husrt" comments in this thread. WTF is a hurst? The station wagon thing that carries a coffin to the cemeitary is a hurse. The family that lives in CA and is very rich from the newspaper business and famous for having a kidnapped granddaughter is a Hurst, as is the Hurst Castle. I find it really strange that out of all the references, someone has not yet got it correct. And no, I'm not an English teacher, proven by my bad spelling and grammer. Just a geek that has a thing about using correct words .
Dude, sorry to do this to you but it is spelled HEARSE
and if you dont belive me... http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=hearse

"It looks like a bread box with a lip"
"It's just plain ugly"

are amongst the ones i always hear(I dont drive one, its just what they say when i show them a picture in a magazine or something)

Ok, I guess I'll add to this thread a little... first off, the proper spelling is "hearse", I've had a few of them. My fav was a '67 Superior Crown ( See it here: http://www.diggersdungeon.cc/hearse/home.htm ). My hearse was called the "Dead Sled", named after "The Greatful Dead".

Friends are now asking me if I plan to fix it up like a hearse... and the thought HAS crossed my mind.

All of my freinds laughed at the car when I pulled-up to each house.. they continued to laugh till I had them sit in the back.. now ALL of them think I made a fantastic decision with the Xb.

At the dealer when they asked me what I liked about the car I replied "It's so damn ugly that it's cool"... you should have seen the look on their faces. The guy said he's never sold a car to someone because it was "ugly". I really don't think they're ugly but he didn't know that. HA !!

The main reason I fell in love with the Xb is just because I enjoy being different... what's the fun in being normal?

this thread is amazing, just went non-stop thru 9 pages before sleep started overtakin my eyes...

seems like the big thing that converts people to the scion are the space and gas mileage...

i've been telling people - 'there's space inside for a threesome and 4 audience members'

Thanks for the backup man!

Mine got called the "sugar cube" so I balled up my fist and asked the guy if he would like one lump or two. But to tell the truth, I think its kind of funny, same with "ice cube" and I was asked by my neice when I first got it when the "Things" came out (Dr. Suess, The Cat in The Hat.) So my new Texas Licence plate I think will be Thing 1

A friend came by last night, only boxes he'd ever seen were rolling down the highway.
He had this "ha-ha... rolling cartoon" attitude....
Till he sat in it, changed his whole outlook of the box.

When I took it over to my parents place my dad said he was glad i didn't get a black one because they look like gorillas. I don't get it either

My wife says they have a nose like a boston terrier. I can live with that as we love bostons (we have two).

One of my friends you can tell thinks it's butt ugly but he's a good enough person to not say anything.

Another of my friends said it looked like someone threw a grenade inside a VW Bug. I hope he finally found a ride home from the club. Okay I'm lying. Hope he's still hitching.

I picked my wife up from work a couple of days ago and we 'christened' it. she commented with a grin "you came in a box in the box you came in." Damn I love her.....and my wife too.

AAaahh!!!!

I like the 'bustin on ya' type insults. But a clerk or some such woman was looking at the CamoBox at one of my customers today (earlier she had called me "a stange man walking through the shop"). She said; "it doesn't have much room in it. What is it? Its like the Honda Element right" So I went into a short lesson. She replied; "it still doesn't have much room in it. "
Being the smart-a I am I asked her compared to what. She said "mini-vans".
I said mini vans don't have much room in them either - compared to "full-size vans"
Pretty sure she'll not understand the point.

Showed the new Onyx box to a friend tonight, and she thought it looked an old-fashioned English cab, some of which are still used in London she said. Didn't take it as an insult b/cuz she really really liked the color and thought it was a cool shape. She's driving a Focus, but wants out of it baaaaad. May convert her to Scion yet!

While we were driving to meet her for dinner, a Toyota 4Runner merged into the lane just a car length ahead us, and the guy gave us a thumbs up in his side mirror! Then, the light rail train was running northbound alongside us, and a bunch of peeps were pointing at our box and smiling....just picked it up yesterday and have been lucky with poz comments from other drivers so far
