Radiator hose problems
Hello everyone. I am new to this forum. I am having an issue with my 08 scion xb. I bought the car used and I love how it drives. But this is the second time in around 4 months that my bottom or lower radiator hose breaks when hitting the pulley. Is this normal? Does the hose have a bracket or something to hold it back from hitting the pulley? How about silicone hoses would the inflate the same or inflate less when the car runs for over an extended period of time? I live in Puerto Rico and the temperature has been hitting 96-100 Degrees but 3-4 months ago it was not as hot. low 90's.

Hey mon! I've an '08, but am mid Atlantic temps (Delaware) and have no idea what your problem is. Guess I need to take a closer look at the mounting of the lower radiator hose, but that's not a problem I've experienced. Still, if there's anything I can do to help identify, I surely will. Feel free to provide hints !

I don't have any friends with Xb's down here. If you can check see if the lower radiator hose has a clip or clamp that keeps it in place would be greatly appretiated. Mine is just there with nothing holding it except the clamps on the radiator and engine block. So it can move freely basically. All other cars i have owned (none have been Toyota) always have had some sort of clip or hose clamp to keep it in place not sure if the Xb has it also and it's just missing so this is the reason i ask.
