Smile Rear door panel removal to get to licence plate lights..

Did a lot of searching and found nothing on how to remove the rear door panel on 2010 xB.
I have a lighted license plate holder that I want to hook into the plate lights.

Any help or advice on wiring would be great and much appreciated.

Grab and yank. It's just held on with clips. Start in one of the lower corners and work your way up.

Wow, thanks that was actually easy to remove. Now the black and red wire coming from the plate frame, can that be wired directly to the plates lights wires that are green and white and what is the green, positive or negative?

Thanks...

What was the final answer to what the green wire is?

Green is likely the positive, but tap it and find out if it works for your application. If not, tap the other 50/50 chance.

Since white is always ground in Toyota cars the green is the power wire. Also, the parking light wiring is green so yeah, green is positive.
