My friend has one of these. The fitment is okay....not the greatest though. It'll get louder and louder over time due to the crappy glasspacks these things use. It is stainless steel 304 though. Also last time I looked at it, it was not mandrel bent, but the crush bends weren't bad, and it wasn't a 2.5 inch diameter...but who knows? This batch of china exhausts might be different.
so i just spent the last 3 or so hours with 3 of my friends and his dad putting the one from Speed Daddy on ebay in. Fitment was great. Parts were good. the gaskets weren't the best looking but they work just fine. the hardest part was lifting the car without a carshop mega lift. but we got it and taking the old one out was an asstastic adventure.
However the new one looks good and sounds great. not overly loud or raspy like a fart can. and its not some puny sounding one either. the only issue is that the tip is very close to the bottom bumpber so im worried about maybe burning the paint of the bottom of the bumper. but it might start to droop once it starts to settle in. so if anyone has any idea of what to put between the muffler and the bumper that would be great.
for a 140 shipped it works great. adds some sound and a little better flow. not a huge boost in individual power but coupled with the CAI its great.

So, flame if you will, I wanted to come on an apologize for being an ___ before (my earlier posts in this thread). I was having a bad stretch of days, was feeling like crap, and was drunk a lot. Not that anyone really cared, but I just felt like acknowledging my ____ty attitude. Honestly, some of it came from regretting that a few years ago I used to drive a modded WRX and had a lot more money to burn on parts than I do these days. I have been frustrated up to recently with the xB and driving a relatively stock car that feels little like the cars I have had in the past. I ended up ordering one of these off ebay tonight and will see what I think when it gets here. I found it for $135 shipped. Anyway, I just wanted to apologize. I did not need to try and make others feel crappy just because I did.
Puredrive.... that was a cool thing to do. It aint easy to be real sometimes. As a reformed drinker I should know. Anyway..... it's like the song says.... it's not about having what you want, it's about wanting what you have. We are all blessed and rich beyond measure compaired to the rest of the world.
Let us know how it sounds, I am on the fence about it myself, so I'm watching....

hey puredrive its all good man. post up with your results. After a few days with the one from speed daddy. The sound from in the car is sick really noticeable from the 1-3k range.i have a tenzo cai so that helps too. Notice i just put 18 wheels and tires on so the car feels heavier and a bit slower. Yet it feels like it has a ____ load of torque and if i lay on the gas it picks up quite fast. I havent heard it on a fly by seeing as im always driving but my friends say it sounds quite good. for 140 its SUPER hard to beat it. I like it, sticking with it and will update later with a vid.
IMHO (honorable) I think its the best one out there. Simple to install only cost about a 120. The filter needs to be oiled and what not but its great. Deep sound, good flow. Does what CAI should do. Im super happy with mine and coupled with this exhaust is just even better. Unless your a brand happy i see no reason not to get the CAI. I have a DIY thread and videos up somewhere on the forum.
