Default When Was the Last Time??

When was the last time you really cleaned...I'm talking really cleaned you rims and tires. I try to 1 a month to take the wheels off and give them a good cleaning inside and out....

I hate to see people with nice rides and they look clean from the outside but when you look closer the inside of the rims have never seen the sudsy cleaning that the outside has. Brake dust and road grime build up and can eat away at the inside of your rims....

So do youself a favor.....this weekend pull your wheels off and give them the correct cleaning...Also a good time to check your suspension and give it a wipe down as well!!

Also I added new Gorilla lugz as my first set was 8 years old and had seen better days....

Rims and tires on the XB is not my priority. The XB will need a paint correction and sealant in the upcoming weeks. Having a family and kids and finding time for my other car is tough as it is.

But good job on it!

I did that once when I had my Super White, before I put on my Huffs, since I had to take them to the tire shop not mounted on the vehicle. I cleaned the wheels good once I brought them home before sticking them on my ride. My current TRD rims I did wipe down the inside of the rim only not behind the spokes, only as far as my hands could reach while still mounted on the vehicle, just when I did my clean, clay and polish of the ride two days ago. I would say I clean the inside of the wheels once every 6 months if it has rained much, but in SoCAL it doesn't rain often, lol.

Shadezz thought I was the only one . My rims get cleaned in and out weekly . Even wipe of all light brake dust after two or three days . I'am lucky I can reach fully inside to clean the backs . After a wash I shopvac out the water from the lugnuts . I spend way to much time fighting the dirt & brake dust , however they always look like the day I got'em . Oh yeah they get waxed too .

Funny I do spend a great deal of money on their products....And yes their $2.00 buckets are great for any project. (like washing your rims)

Another thought is maybe getting yourself a small compressor for air so you can blow out the water around the lugz, grill and engine bay. I use my compressor all the time when detailing my car...Also its good for those tight spots with dust on the interior.

I should probably do that. It's just when I clean, it usually takes me about 2 hours with the detail I put in. I just couldn't imagine spending 4-5 hours in one day cleaning the car. But I'll try it before I whine.
Okay Pyroman....Next time you get time I want to see before and afters of your wheels getting fully cleaned. You will feel so much better riding extra clean....You may even find that your car seems to be smoother after this.

Its like have a great suit to wear, but you have worn out looking shoes to go with it........Clean them and you'll find yourself liking the results.
