Rear passenger brake popping noise
So during changing my rear breaks I had a tough time putting new brake clips on due ti the previous owner using cheap breaks. So after using a little brake cleaner and elbow grease I was able to get the clips in place however my brake rotor was being scraped by the clip so I got a flathead and fixed it everything was fine and then a month later I started hearing a singular pop every time I brake from a low speed. I don’t hear it when braking on a highway or getting off the interstate only when I’m going 30 and under. It’s not multiple pops just one pop or clunk. It’s coming from the rear passenger. A friend of mine suggested I warped the rotor but I don’t experience any vibrations when braking.
If you brake going backwards, does it do just one pop? Then when going forward again, does it do the one pop again?
If so, it is likely the pads moving backwards/forwards in the caliper - could have something to do with the difficulty you had getting the anti rattle springs in.
