Question Exhaust Gasket or Something Else? Photo attached



Bubbles in two places with air pressure test (soap spray and Shop Vac). Are either part of the exhaust gasket assembly? I just paid my mechanic to replace that component.
If not, what is the cause of each? Scion xD. Thanks!!! (Novice here...) I need to sort before my used car warranty expires (very soon).

Looks like your mechanic didn't to a good job of resurfacing the flanges. Either that, or he used a cheap gasket that won't conform to the pipe ends.
