I will be running the Xd in the 150- hp configuration at the track in Vegas in January. Will also be running with nitrous-I'll post results.

OK, I should have posted this last week but had some network problems!!

But here it goes....

Richard has finally posted an actual picture of a manifold. DON'T HOLD your breath. Is not the xD manifold but the first final unit of the Yaris Manifold.

I will post the picture and transcribe some of Richard comments about it.

According to Richard this should be a fairly good representation of what the xD manifold will look like since the configuration of the Yaris xD is so similar. Dimensions obviously will be a little different.

Richard comments:

here is what the Yaris intake is going to look like. It bolts right on (I will provide photo of intake on with all lines and fittings during testing). Though you guys might like to see it with optional NOS fogger in place-NOS bungs will be an option. We will probably never use the nitrous on the yaris but it sure looks cool. I want to do some more testing with this and we may alter the plenum slightly for aesthetics.

there will be no welds on the intake runners-they will be 1 piece-this was done to facilitae the proper radius bends which will be duplicated by our tubing guy.

We are working out pricing now on the NOS bungs-actually a lot of work to drill necessary holes, machine bugs (including taping for nos nozzles) and properly align fittings before welding. They will be filling with small pipe plugs when not in use.

note that super thick tb flange can be drilled and tapped for single nitrous fogger nozzle.

We are still working on design for Xd, but it could look a lot like this since the layout of the stock Xd intake is similiar.

it was a lot of work and we still have some final testing to do before starting the production run. Sory for th edelay-but I want the intake perfect beforeit goes into production to ensure everyone is completley satisfied with their purchase. Each will have serial number-intake in the photo is DRXP001 (Dynatek Racing Experimental prototype 001).

Castrex, can this be posted over in the early Xb performance section so those guys can see what their intake might actually look like. Thanks for all your help.

I would say probably more than a month.

Richard was clear that he wants to finish the Yaris stuff first... and they are still a couple of weeks away for doing that.

After that we will see the final design verification for the xD stuff and then it will go into production... So definitely I don't see our stuff been available within a month from now...

are you talking about the prototype intake connected to the prototype intake manifold?

Yea I believe he's refering to the actual intake. If you read thru most of Richards posts he mentions that the original intake design while increased hp, was mostly at the high end and actually lost power at the low end and was deemed not worth it to use and ended up using an open intake box instead.

Not sure what this means exactly, but I don't want to confuse the Xd owners. The intake manifold for the Xd does not losse power anywhere compared to the stock intake. The prototype CAI did not loose power anywhere compared to the stock air box either.
