I have couple questions maybe u can help? I wanna get the DC sport headers for my car but it's an 06'. None of the places that I've shopped online have 06's only things for anm05' so I was wondering if it would fit? They should right,? reading from the post above that's having probs with his 06'. Also, where's the best place to buy the DC headers? Where'd you guys get them from? Also I don't want to eliminate my cat converter so will the 4-2-1 one piece header work?

As far as fitment goes, it should fit, I don't think Toyo changed their design any. I don't know the best place cause I got mine off a guy on here, but check the for sale section, and the sponsored sales section and see if anyone is getting rid of one. You will be eliminating your cat. All aftermarket headers do, that I know of. That's what helps get rid of some of the restriction on the airflow, however are cars have two. The main one, which should be on the header and then the second one is under the car on the midpipe. Having one is atleast better than two :D , however you will have to do the antifouler mod so you don't get the CEL and if you live in Cali good luck, your smog inspections are harsh over there.

thanx that helps alot but another thing I live ALL the way over here in hawaii...so do places like NAPA Auto Parts sell the anti foulers or any other place around here? One more big thing..according to some people they say that after their pau (finished) installing the headers and take it for a test drive..everything is fine going average speed but when opened up on the road it sounds like a damn honda civic. Now here in hawaii we have alot of those peps w/their civic and that's one thing I hate hearing the most. I have a injen intake with a tanabe exhaust, and so far it sounds pretty beefy and I love it. So my question is will it sound bad on my car? Is everyones car sounding like that or it just depends? Help a girl out.

First off, girl? your thing says "M" LOL anyway, yes NAPA and other autopart stores sell them. However I got this one and love it, lets you configure it in any position you want. https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...210&highlight=
Yes, it will sound like a damn Honda, if you have the stock midpipe with the resonator on it, it might not sound as bad, however if you have a catback system like I do, then it will sound like complete and udder crap! I'm in the process of getting two resonators for mine so it will sound a lot better ;) I love the deep tone of the magnaflow. Just FYI on mine though, it sounds twice as bad as a honda

oh yeah sorry, I'm using my bf's profile..as for getting another resonator, is that gonna solve the problem of the nasty ___ sound or won't? Also will an shop that installs and sells exhausts have resonators. Cuz if it's gonna sound like hondas I'm really sketchy bout getting one now.

Um, it depends, is the tanabe exhaust an axle back or cat back system? I don't know since I don't own one. If it's axle back then it might not sound too bad since it will have the stock resonator on it still. Usually it's the aftermarket ones that get rid of the rasp though. And depending on the shop, yes they should carry some resonators, not all of them do, but like main franchised ones pretty much will. Like Meinke and others like that. I have to get to work but im sure theres other helpful people that can get you info that you need regarding the resonator and exhaust

You know to be honest with you...I just reread your ori. post and saw the anti-fouler part and for some reason I thought 02 sensor...I'm a Um, I think you can just go to any parts store tell them you need two anti foulers and they will hook you up with them, not sure its one size fits all or not but I think it may be that way. Sry for the erroneous post above However those are the part numbers for my 02 sensors if you need those too

Nope, it will actually work with the stock, and any other for that matter. I pointed that out to him after I bought it, he said he was going to change the title but I guess he didn't. Its a 90degree bend and that nut on it lets you put it in any position you want it in and tighten it, I like that feature :D but yes it was orginaly created for the invidia s-pipe, which I have, but it will work for the others. Just make sure you don't mess up your 2nd o2 sensor. Their a PITA to take out imo. Sry to confuse you man, wasn't my intention lol, I just know the antifouler mod is a hit or miss, but in all honestly I havn't heard of or read anywhere about someone having a CEL yet with his thing that he made.

alright cool. i might go about rodering one, oh and for the CEL, once i install it, do i just disconnect my battery for a few minutes then install it again and turn on my car or am i off? just cause i've been driving around with a CEL for some months now and every time i take it to my dealer they always say theirs a problem becuase you have a CEL light on. it really doesnt; bother me but i don't want any trouble with my dealer. oh and also i'm getting the spipe pretty soon also so i'll just take it off that and put it on the aftermarket one when i get it.

Um you have had a CEL for a few months now? What mods have you done b/c you shouldnt have one if your stuff is stock. Go to autozone or some other parts place and have them read the code for free, then look it up online if you don't already know what it is. And yes, once you put the header on, take out the stock o2 sensor in the spipe carefully without cross threading it and then put that part on, it screws into the pipe like a o2 sensor would, if it ends up stopping at a position not facing the plug in socket for the o2 harness then just turn it back just enough so that it points there, then take a wrench or pliers and tighten down the nut that is threaded on it. That will keep it in the exact position that you want it. Then screw the o2 sensor into the other end. When you screw the o2 sensor, make sure you use pliers or a wrench and make that sucker tight, I did it hand tight and did an addtional 1/8 turn with a wrench b/c its a hard to reach area and after about 20 miles of testing it I heard a rattling sound,...it had unscrewed itself some from the part, so I got my vice grips and turned that heck out of it, its not going anywhere now! After all the install is done, unplug the battery for a few mins, I did mine for like 10 while I cleaned up everything, then put the terminal back on and you should be set. If you getting an s-pipe soon though I would seriously just wait until you get it. That way you dont have to worry about the o2 sensor right now, and take a chance of this thing becomeing like one of them too from the heat and expansion of the piping. I doubt it would mess with it like a o2 sensor but I personally would just wait and if your already have CEL then your not going to notice it anyway

Oh, my apologies, I was assuming that you didn't install the header yet. Yeah that is def. the cause of the CEL and antifouler mod or that thing will fix it...just the antifoulers are hit and miss on our cars. Yeah if you get it just hold off on putting it on til you get the s-pipe so be safe. Oh, his shipping is a little weird too, some get it in a few days others take like a week or so, Postal Service is messed up like that I guess since he doesn't fedex or ups them.
