I just did this mod this weekend. It looks fine with plain PLCC. I put blue for the windows and red for the locks. I will post pics if I ever remember to.

how do you know which direction the LED is supposed to point on each one of them? will having it the other way around not make it work?

Yes it will not work if installed backwards. Look for the direction of the arrow on the circuit board to the placement of the dent on the corner of the led.

There is no arrow on the circuit board thats why i dunno what direction im supposed to solder the LED

omg so the letter k is now a direction? so if the letter K was left i have to point the triangle of the led left and if the K was right i have to point the triangle of the right?
