I've got both settings on my hotch set at race 24/7. No point in me really changing it.

Getting a front bar with the hotchkis system is to ensure that the DIFFERENCE between the front and rear stiffness isn't too great.

Having to great of a disparity can lead to extreme twitchyness and snap oversteer when taking a corner hard.

Going with rear bar only will work (it's what i'm doing), but don't do it with the hotchkis system. That rear bar is too stiff to use alone.

Anyway, wish I could use this Ingalls bar for STS.

So I just bought the bar and have yet to install it, but before I do I've been reading that I will need a metal drill bit right?
Also how much are we suppose to torque it when bolting it down? And was mine suppose to come w/ spacers or not?

yep metal bits, drilling those holes out are a _____, good luck.

you can't really torque it down cause the tighter you go, the more the metal underneath (where the spare goes) will bend inwards. the directions say to tighten the bar down until you see it begin to bend the inside of the trunk a little.

mine didn't come with spacers, you won't need them.

also, i'm selling one of these rear Ingall's strut braces, its about a month old... https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=216329

So i just installed the rear strut brace and i must say.. WOW! what a improvement to the stability. It takes more effort to turn now cause obviously less body flex, in turns it's diffenately a LOT more solid. Must have upgrade!

Side-note: CorSport the box came damaged.. not happy w/ that. No goodies included..
