ZPI's practices questionable...
damn, this company is bs-in people, thanks for posting this becuase i was actually considering buying thier xA kit, assuming they actually came out w/ one. no kit for me, anyone who cant handle a customer complaint as simple as a refund just isnt worthy, i work hard for my money and if i order something i expect it to be delivered in a short amount of time, i dont care if they have to be custom made, thats why i payed the price tag. if i payed that much for the kit i expect to have it sent out within a couple of days of paying it, sorry ZPI but u will have to find other poeple to scam cuse i will not be one of them
I will state my prediction once again.
I've never done business with this company, so as *some* would have it, I should just butt out and leave things alone, because I "don't know what [i] am talking about."
I see myself as 100% impartial, since I have no monetary interest or sponsorships.
Let's connect the dots, shall we?
Young company, selling to a young + new market: check!
Hot new product that is rare/difficult to obtain: check!
Product being sold has multiple part suppliers: check!
Company faults other factors(suppliers, cash flow, PMS, etc.): check!
Delays....delays.......delays.... : check!
Atrocious "return" policy: check!
Yeah, this all is a recipe for crash and burn. My prediction:
Before 2006 is over, this company will stop selling Scion equipment or disappear.

For mailorder (or telephone or internet) sales, if it will take the seller longer than 30 days to get the product to the buyer, the seller MUST inform the buyer.
At that point the buyer can either agree to wait, refuse to wait, or not respond. If the buyer says "OK," the deal stands, but with a new projected delivery date. If the buyer doesn't respond, the order still stands and the seller either must get the product or a refund to the buyer within another 30 days. If the buyer refuses to wait, a refund MUST be issued.
If the product still won't make it to the buyer at 60 days, the seller must AGAIN contact the buyer. This time if the buyer refuses to wait or doesn't respond the seller MUST issue a refund without being asked. Only if the buyer says "OK" is the deal still on.
That second scenario applies every 30 days after that. No response, or a refusal to wait requires a refund.
How soon must that refund be given?
If the buyer paid by cash, check, or money order, seller must refund the correct amount by first class mail within seven working days after the order is cancelled.
If the buyer paid by credit, seller must credit the customer’s account or notify the customer that the account will not be charged, within one customer’s billing cycle, after the order is cancelled.
There's a lot more, but that covers the basics. Once a seller has had a customer's order for 60 days, the customer must either have the product, OK the delay every 30 days, or get an automatic refund.
Hope that helps.

I am going to say this once in here as well there is a thread in tC F/I. If any more threads about ANY turbo company are takenoff topic warnings will be issued and if needed bannings will take place. Keep anything about shop experineces in the approiate section. If someone asks a question about a certin product keep your post RELEVENT to the posters question. NO OPNIONS ARE NECESSARY ABOUT WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT A COMPANY!! keep it on topic.

after this post i totally backed out of looking at zpi, unless i can fly out there and pick all the parts up, get a parts list, and a written receipt contract with ym full purchase in 1 fell swoop. the numebrs are good, the reputation is not. sad to see a solid idea like this go south

Why was the thread about the Stage 0 with the lean AFR ratios deleted? I know some people where turning the thread into my car is faster than yours.....But there was some good info on there about what steps to take to fix the AFR on ZPI's Stage 0 so the engine would not turn into a paper weight!!!

Its odd how a moderator would favor a certain company.
