-Eric- This is an e-mail that Keisha sent me last week, regarding my Stage 0 kit that was ordered in March 2006:

***
Eric,

I apologize for the delay in response, however our office was closed June
12th until today, June 20th. All of the components are in for the Stage 0
kits and they have began shipping, however our shipping department is
shipping orders per their original order date. They are currently working
on filling February orders and should be moving on to March orders later in
the week to early next week. At this point in time I hate to put an ETA on
your turbo kit as I do not have an accurate one to quote.

The reason that your other order is showing as delivered is because that
order has been merged with your turbo kit order and will be shipped with
your kit.

As for our return policy, a turbo kit is a custom order and is affected by
the 25% cancellation fee because at this point in time we do have the parts
to produce your order which negates it from falling under the
non-deliverable category. Refunds are issued on the 15th of every month and
are sent via certified check. There is an entire slew of information
available on our website if there is anything that I've missed. It can be
found at http://www.zeropointindustries.net/store/shipping.php.

I know that waiting can be very frustrating and I apologize for the delay
that you have experienced. I do hope that you chose to continue business
with ZPIracing as we strive to satisfy our customers. I can assure you that
you will be very pleased with your kit and that the wait is worth it! But
regardless, please let me know what you'd like to do!

Thanks Eric,

Keisha

So if this holds true I should be getting a tracking number for my stage 0 in a couple of weeks. I will let you know how this turns out.
How do you really know they have the parts in stock??
He doesnt... and now were back to the same game as before...

Oh it will ship soon... then somthing else comes up and oh it will ship soon... or oh we are waiting on such and such...

We have all heard this over and over.

My understanding was that very few people on here are running engine management with the ZPI Stage 0. They designed the turbo to run on stock injectors and with the stock computer. The tC's computer is more than capable of "learning" the map for the Stage 0. The Stage 1 requires more though, that is why they are shipped with the pre-programmed e-Manage.
From my understanding, most everyone has put some sort of management on the stage 0 setups. They didnt "design" the turbo at all. Its a base, off the shelf unit on a log manifold with a charge pipe. Thats it. Its not a custom unit by any means.

I would venture to say that the 16G on 6 psi flows more air then the TRD supercharger setup does. I can't say for sure but Im 90 percent sure of it. That being the case, TRD decided that the car needed a reflash and injectors to run a "weaker" setup then what ZPI is putting out. WHY? TO MAKE IT SAFE!

Any respectable tuner/builder will tell you that it is STUPID to run a factory NA car boosted without some sort of ecu control. The stock timing map for a NA car is ALWAYS going to be to aggressive for a FI setup. The ecu doesnt know that you have switched to FI, it just knows there is more air coming in and based on that goes by the fuel/timing map that is programmed into it. If it at any point exceeds what the map parimeters are, it will go into a "safe mode" and dump fuel because it thinks it has a broken sensor somewhere.

As far as the "pre-programmed" emanage goes. I believe EVERYONE that has had a stage one has HAD to have the car dyno tuned. I would, and it is recommended to have this done to get the most out of the setup, but shouldnt be required. Whats the point of it being "pre-programmed" if thats the case?

That would make sense cuz how can you "pre-program" an e-manage that will work in every climate and every altitude ie cold and 5000 feet above sea level in Colorado or mild and 200 feet above sea level in the mid-west.

You sure about that?

From what I have been able to see here (Scion Life) very few Stage 0 are running without managent. They all start with no emanage -but they all ended up with one for one reason or another. Maybe it's so the car doesn't stall when thw BOV opens. Maybe it other reasons. Zero_Motorsports will probably shed some more light on this topic bacause he has a Stage 0 with boost gauge and wide-band.

Haha - yea, I waited for 2 companies. What a load of crap. But like I've said - with as long as I waited and I got mine - others will be getting theirs too.

You want to hear about crap companies - look up Scion Speed or tCTunerZ. I dealt with them BOTH. So it's nice for somebody to come through for me.
