The light distribution pattern is just like mine. If you notice on the photo of the lights projecting on the garage, that above the horizontal light cutoff, that there are 3 regions of glare, 1 larger in the middle and a smaller region on both the left and right. I did some observations and the glare region shining to the left will be a problem to oncoming drivers. So using some black electrical tape, I masked off small portions of both headlights (I blocked the light from the right headlamp with a towel when doing the left headlamp and vice versa) to eliminate the left shining glare. Then I cut a 4" piece of tape for both headlamps to minimize the larger middle region of glare as seen on the garage door photos. This seem to reduce the problem significantly. I have taken some photos of this and hopefully will post them. It would be nice if the projector headlamps increased the intensity of the light more just below the cutoff, i.e. less light in the immediate foreground and more light at say 150 yards, however evenness of the light distribution is much better than any standard headlamp I've had.
I know you might be saying, some people retrofit these into non-projector (standard) headlamps so why am I going the extra mile when I have projector lamps, well number 1: the amount of light that shines upwards can be seen lighting up objects over 100 yards away albeit slightly. 2: I really want don't want to draw any more attention to myselft than I have to 3: Safety, I don't want oncoming drivers on 2 lane roads struggling to see in front of them causing danger to both them and I.
P.S. If I was going to purchase a new set I would probably buy the 4300K set or even lower. The reason is the 5000Ks tend to light up asphalt less effectivey, although they are pretty good on concrete and all the roadmarkings and signs light up like Christmas trees. And also 4300K is closer to what the OEMs install in their headlamps.
The 5000Ks, however definitely show others that you are using HIDs and not halogens.

bkirby, you are right about the washing out of the lights when driving with the 6000k's. I just like the hint of blue, but its still a lot brighter and better looking than the stock lights. I am going to test the glare out with my wife by driving in front and trying some on coming traffic scenerios. I was pretty close to the garage when taking the pictures, so I'm not sure exactly if that would have affected anything. Thanks for the pointers though. Can you post some pics up ASAP so I can see what you did to yours to reduce glare?
Please refer to my earlier post for an explanation.
Above: Before attaching blacktape mask to headlamps. Notice glare above cutoff.
Above: After attaching blacktape mask to headlamps. Notice reduced glare especially on the left.
Above: Blacktape mask shown on lamps. This is done on both lamps. (Note: car was washed just after photo)

great pictures bkirby. I personally would rather keep those little spots above the cutoff line simply because it helps illuminate those things that are down the road and it can sometimes be difficult to see things above the cutoff line.
drgnx - great pics. how's it look on the road?

got tue - yes, you get a lifetime warranty if the product fails under normal operation and yes, I can get the 6k out to you by the weekend. I just checked the 8k inventory and I'm all out.
So - if you get the 8k, it won't be there in time but my policy is to include a free LED flashlight if I don't have it in stock.
Also...
The next 50 orders now come with a free squash air freshener refill!

If anyone just wants the refill - $10 shipped for the first one and $7 for each additional.

very cool man. you'll be surprised at how driving with normal lights from here on out will feel like you're driving with your lights off.
