bBsacto - I think worst comes to worst, you'll have to splice the harness. I know, sounds bad but I'll include some quick connects with your bulbs so you can splice the harness and then return it back to the factory harness if need be in the future.

By the way. I've been getting more and more inquiries about the differences between Operatic's kit and the MobileHID kit. While I admire Operatic's business sense in offering a product at cut-throat prices, I don't agree in offering a product that is lower in quality to offer a better price.

The biggest difference between Operatic's kit and the MobileHID kit is Operatic sources the lowest priced ballast he can get his hands on to keep his costs extremely low. That's not how MobileHID does business. There's no point in sacrificing quality to get a lower cost on products when customers have to live with the end result.

Don't believe it? Dig around a bit on ScionLife - you'll find that more users have problems with his kit than the MobileHID kit. Just do a search for "problem operatic" vs "problem mobilehid" and do some reading. Although there are more threads with the "mobilehid problem" query, it's only because people either suggest going with the Mobile HID kit or I chime in to help.

Think about it. Kits that are sold at $130 shipped overnight must be ridiculously low in price. Overnight shipping is $40-50- so really, the kit he's selling costs maybe 80 to 90 dollars. ANYONE can get something similar on eBay. For example, here's a post he wrote in October about his kit:

This kit is the same as this one on eBay...

If you notice the price - it's 80 bucks shipped. He has since changed the image after being called out on it.

Hope this explains things for those who were wondering.

By the way- the thin ballasts that I was testing with last month didn't pass the reliability standards so slim ballast kits will not be offered for now.

Thanks.

Clifford

Just to verify things, we are not urcarparts on eBay we are operatic98, anyone can steal a picture from ScionLife when theres no water mark on it. You can call us out all you want, but can we keep the facts straight at least.

On top of that, I decided to do a search on ScionLife for "problem operatic" just like you mentioned above. Well, the threads I came back with were problems along the lines of having to put the plug in backwards, a wiring harness issue, because it was getting wet and last but not least an issue with the bulb color. All of em not life real big issues, but on top of that, all of them were resolved quickly.

Oh, and for good measure, I decided to find out who urcarparts was on eBay, they are located out of L.A. and we are out of Houston. Once again, we are not urcarparts on eBay, we are operatic98.

Hey Cliff, is it bad if you use Both headlamp harnesses to fire the ballasts? I might have to use techically both or splice my driver side single-white wire to connect a new wire to the right passenger side headlamp harness.

Keeping things straight...

Price on SL for a kit from operatic: $130 shipped overnight
Overnight Shipping costs: Anywhere between $40-$50.

Price of an eBay kit: $80-$90 shipped.

uhh...

cliff never said that u are in fact "urcarparts" on ebay. He said when a fellow SL member asked to see a pic of YOUR actual product you post the same pic as "urcarparts" on ebay. Same Box, same bulbs, same ballast, same camera angle, and lighting = SAME photo.

Sorry to say this, but even though using cheap products to boost profit margin is poor business practice, blatantly attacking your competition to boost sales is much worse. I'm happy with my Oznium kit, 0 problems and still as bright as new with 20,000 miles of on-time (approx 1000 hours). Only thing that interests me in this product, is the fact that it's 100% waterproof.

Also, if his kit is $130 shipped overnight, that would mean it costs $80-90 without shipping (assuming he's getting assraped in shipping costs). That ebay kit you're comparing it to, the so called same kit, is $80 shipped ($30 shipping as shown in the ad). Since when does $50 = $85?

CarbonXe - I'm not attacking Operatic. I posted to clear things up since I have SL members PM'ing me about his comparisons in his own sales thread.

As far as the kits being sold on eBay- the images are exactly the same image and you're right - $50 does not equal $85. If you wanted to go with an eBay kit, for $85, you'd have that eBay kit shipped already.

I'm not saying Operatic is Urcarparts at all and I never did. I do find it suspect when they're both posting the same image.
