i think i may have to pick up the 50mm just to see what all the hype is about.

Blckdoutc, my camera body lets u set it like every 20 or so. so it goes from 50-100-120-140 or even more than that actually.

 

They hype.. Is that it's cheap. Lol.

The IQ is supposedly GREAT for it's price. >$100

I'd love to have the 1.4 though.. I tried one out today. It feels so much better.

the 50mm is loud, cheap(both in build and cost) and made of plastic.

Its my first prime lens and I realize im not to fond of prime lenses. You're too limited on photo composition and feels like it turns your camera into a point and shoot. It makes taking photos extremely easy.

Only time Ill be using this lens for is indoor poorly lit locations and portraits.

 

not really a holiday theme, but theres red in it. LOL!
i hate how photobucket dumbs down the color when you upload pics. the red is a little bit lighter red than original. meh... here it is.

edit: now that i uploaded it, the red is way off... is flickr better than photobucket?

rnb180 - i believe the 18-55 is 3.5-5.6 and the 55-250 is 4-5.6.. sorry im lazy to look in my photo bag.

and bluaeon.. flikr pro is totally better than photobucket imo. i keep all my portfolio stuff on my flickr and my whatever stuff (like for posts, etc) on pb.

and yes flickr is totalyyyy better than photobucket, i stopped using photobucket when i got my xsi cause it ruined the pictures

 

50mm has super good image quality for the price. Yes, its made of plastic; however, the price is negligible since its so cheap. plus, f1.8 FTW!!!

 

i'm probably going to be buying one in the beginning of the new year. and i asked for the Canon 18-200mm for christmas

 

so flickr better than photobucket for DSLR camera folk? Good to know before i begin my reign of photo taking

 

i dont think anyone has actually verified that fact.

 

So, some Christmassy, I suppose. I volunteered at the Leonis Adobe Museum & they have a huge farm area so I got to help kids play with the animals & build gingerbread houses. I helped paint the animals coral and stuff, too, then we had an open house Christmas party for the neighborhood.


Well this one's a cheat, I just took this pic last night & I'm disappointed with how it came out. I'd never seen a halo around the moon like that befoe & apparently it's caused by ice crystals on the surface.
