anyone doing any model shooting? i wanna get into it but wanna know whos got a good recomendation for a lens should i go prime?
i did these for a girl trying to start her portfolio but i think its more her making the shots good than me

I would suggest lenses like the 50mm and the 28mm that have lower aperture settings for sharper results. Also, I've noticed a lot of the HIN photographers use the Canon 28-135mm. Possibly because you have a larger range for different subjects. Too bad Canon doesn't have the 18-135 like Nikon does. That would be perfect.
the 18-55 lens i used to have was decent for a stock lens but that and three other lenses got stolen i also had the canon prime 50mm the plastic mount one and a some other one that had issues
and yes she is a quite gorgeous specimen if i do say

as for portrait... ive seen people use 50 and 85mm for portraits. i would lean more towards 85 though... for the IQ reason.

taken with a webcam. you're whole idea about all photos having to be in focus, grain free and always in focus is your opinion. Let me know when you get bored of that and try more creative ventures with photography
