Hey i just got the spiral flow installed and it sounds a lot better. Im happy with the results. It also gave me a little tourqe back that i lost with the 2.5 inch piping on a N/A setup. The metallic noise is only there for a second when you really get on it. It lowered the exhaust note too. It has a nice deep bass when the rpms are coming down from revving. it. I dont even think im going to get a new muffler. I gotta get batteries for my camera. After that, ill get some videos. Hopefully i can post them before i have to go to work.

Sounds good. Yeah, my 40 series has a loud, but deep tone when rpms are dropping at around 80 mph. Sounds like i'm running straight pipes on a 350......haha.

It barely fit in there. Its 14 inches total in length and they actually had to cut some of the resonator on both ends to fit in the back part under the gas tank. Because there are 2 bends back there and a hanger, it was a tight fit perfectly between the 2 bends. If yours is 20 inches in length then you might have to put it in the front by the cat and relocate your other resonator to make it all fit. I did the videos but didnt have time to upload them. I still have a rattle that happens when i start the car when its cold and has a rough idle. well now i can hear it when i rev the engine. Its the exhaust tip. the guy at one of the 3 shops i went to (wanted to get different opinions) said that the rolled tip style exhaust tips always have rattling problems. If you look at it, the tip is rolled over itself and that creates a crease where it rattles together. When i hold the exhaust tip, it goes away. Thats my next project is to find a new tip if i dont go with a new muffler.

Ok....

I already had a piece welded on the tip to hold it firm. It's just a small metal piece welded to the rolled piece and the pipe. Well, I think I should have a bit of room with my resonator undeneath near the rear axle. B/c my pipe has already been cut up, it's shifted a bit so that can be shifted back.

I'm going to see if they can plasma cut that tow bracket off the rear axle center too. That gets in the way of the pipe routing so I'll see if they can cut it and move the pipe to make the resonator fit.

Here are my videos. Before and After...

This is the Moroso spiral flow racing muffler (using it as a second resonator)...

This is BEFORE the Spiral Flow muffler with CAI and Header:

This is AFTER the Spiral Flow muffler with CAI and Header:

Note: The rattle you hear is the exhaust tip not the muffler. Not the best clip, i didnt have much time.

Dude, that is great. It sounds really nice. I'm glad it worked out for you. I hope mine fits the way that one does. It's going to be a tight fit I think. I might have to put it, like you said, right behind the main CAT in sequence with the resonator on the pipe. Hopefully it will fit very snug. I'm sure the exhaust shop can do something though.

Congrats. It really sounds great.

That's how I fixed my tip from rattling. I added a bit of heat resistant foam in the overlap gap between the roll and the pipe also.

Damn it, I just went outside and remeasured and I'm not sure what I was measuring last time but my muffler is not going to fit. The body of the muffler will be under the axle mount and that's going to hang real low. DAMN IT!!

Can you put a ruler in your picture when you get some of the muffler installed just so I can see how much room i'm dealing with? 14'' overall is what I would need at the most probobly. I think the spiral flow was like that but could you let me know?

I just ordered the spiral flow. I'm to anxious....haha...............I'm going to make that one fit. It's definately smaller in diamter than the magnaflow which was the problem with my measurement. B/c it's narrow, it'll fit much easier.

If you look at the pic of the sprial flow right out of the box, you can see how much they had to cut off of the ends. Pretty much all of it.
