it does add some noise to the inside of the vehicle, but not much at all, the stereo up just a tad covers it.

heh heh...yeah i feel you. just that sometimes i like to drive withOUT the stereo on, ie. when i'm driving with my daughter or a date or friends. The annoying rattles and noises during what are supposed to be "silent" driving periods is what irks me the MOsT about the tc. or at least MY tc.

well lets be real between the rattles and other faults of the tc, a little road noise wont hurt.. trust me, its not that bad.

I would much rather have a little bit of noise in the cabin from the stiffy then the annoying wheelhop when I launched.

If you don't drive your car hard I wouldn't recommend one because it's barely noticable in regular driving.

i notice it in dd, the shifting in gears is much smoother.

Sorry I haven't replied in awhile last monday I dislodged a disc in my back and spend 4 days in the hospital and couldn't walk on my own until thursday. I'm much better now!!! 4 weeks of Phys therapy to go tho. Atleast I'm good to go for now.

Anyways - Toyotas have a bit of a click to the motor. If you know someone else with a tC or a Camry that has the same motor I would listen to their car. A few that have some into the dealership here and atleast one they used my car to compare noise with had a problem with the timing and it lost some tension and needed some parts replaced however it did not hurt the vehicle but check it out - better safe than sorry.

i also recently installed an underdrive pulley. the clicking noise is coming from the damper/pulley area. i cant exactly locate it. maybe it is something with the timing.

weird, did you installed it right? both of them? Why don't try to re-installed them both, to see if that was the problem?

Have toyota check out the timing - like I said earlier one of the tCs that was clicking loud needed some warranty timing parts taken care of.

Don't let it go like that if it is unconfortably noticable.

Does anyone know if you can adjust the damper on while installed on the car? or do you have to unbolt it and take it off every time you want to adjust it?

I wanted to try a few different settings but I didn't want to reinstall it.

I would recommend doing it off the car - I am sure you could do it on the car is you don't have a strut tower brace and is easily enough accesible by you.

It would be easier off though and less chance to mark it up.

Make you measure it right and don't over torque it over the install sheet spec as well.
