hey guys

I couldnt wait for the TWM shifter SOOO i ordered the creative compacts one. I installed it at 1 am after coming home from Boston ( I was so excited). Took about an hour, used a dremel to get the washers out.

So an hour, some cuts on my hands and plenty of cursing and sweating, I got my SS in!
I dont know WHY i waited so long.

-The only problem is its loose a little, only when you pull UP on the ***, not side to side or anything.
-Also it came with a silver **** (?) which was screwed on the shifter while in the package but doesnt screw down all the way so its pointless. I just used the stock one.

I would've gotten that one if it wasn't do damn expensive. How is it they're charging so much more than the competition?

i also have the CC one and i like it. It's only been 2 days since its been in and I'm still trying to get used to the stiffness. Definitely requires more effort to get into gear. Will it always be this stiff? Or do I just need to wait for the grease to do its job? I'm also using the stock **** cuz the one that came with it doesnt line up right. when its on, the gears are facing right. lol. plus, i like the feel of the stock one for now.

also, will a weighted **** help much with the stiffness?

I just installed the TWM Stage 2. Aside from the obvious height reduction, I don't notice a significant reduction in the throws. Maybe the crack hasn't completely worn off yet so I'll check it out again tomorrow. Pics coming tomorrow as well...

I ordered from TWM last Wednesday and I received it yesterday. That probably won't be the case for everyone else since the 4th of July holiday messed with shipping schedules a little bit.

Still not bad compared to past experiences though. I've ordered sneakers from Canada before and it took over two weeks to arrive at my doorstep!

And one other question, does B&M Short shifter come with replacement base bushings??

I ordered TWM stage 2 on Monday and got it on Friday noon. It took about a hour to intall. I was looking for tools and grease.

Picture of stock and TWM

i hammered the screwdriver in to get the clip out. I scuffedit up big time.

Those 2 black clips were a pain to put back on.

I like how much shorter and tighter the shift is now.

Nice shifter man!!

one question to all: has anybody added 'more lube' to thier short shifter? most writups say that htey just transferred from stock shifter to new shifter.

Is that enough?

What kind of 'lube' shoudl be used if i want to add more?

i was lucky to find Quaker State Multi Purpose Grease in my uncle's basement. He got almost tools beside air tools.

Yeah i use white lithium grease from Auto Zone. I greased everthing really well when installing my TWM stage 2. Now shifting is so precise and smooth (also got a **** that weighs a freaking pound)...and yes that shifter is the sickness!!! I tried the TRD one from the dealer and it doesn't hold a candle to the stage 2.

I really don't have anything to contribute other than the fact that I HATE the leather boot, haha. I wish I could find an aftermarket panel that looks like the automatic shift panel, just for a manual, and not so cheap looking.

Oh yeah, and i'm going to look into the ARK SS.
