I'm like 99% sure that with version 2.6, when you download from the laptop to the ecu, the car doesn't die anymore.

Like it does with 2.5 and below =(

On a side note. I have 800cc injectors. Hydra 2.5r12.
Anyone else having trouble idling right? lol

Just an update. Talking to Brian, he mentioned that whomever spoke of the Hydra not getting pass the 127mph speed cut was not accurate, as he hit 143mph with the Hydra. I believe he is on 2.5 version.

I was datalogging it. Rich all the way to redline every gear, lol.

I didn't do it all at once. I did it in steps ^^

thats good info, so its verified then that hydra doesnt have the speed cut.. it just doesnt give you the option to set one.. that still cool

How rich are you running? my tune goes like 10.0 while dumping on the gas then sweeps higher up to 11.3 -11.5, im not sure if its the same one you have but I was thinking if the injector response setting has something to do with it.. It might be set too sensitive where the injectors open wide while there is not enough boost yet to burn and get the desired afr, im not sure though.. but just wondering why it does that

I wonder about that, but she has never shaked at 127 (at least not for me) she is smooth as glass

Very possible that is the case. That there just isn't an option to set a speed cut, so there isn't one period. Keeps me still in the running for the Hydra.

Well when you do a quick WOT, its supposed to dump a lot fuel in. I think its called Fuel Enrichment Coefficient.

And when you do a quick release of the throttle, its depends on the Fuel Enleanment Coefficient.

I think thats what they are called. I'll look at the hydra tonight.

Assuming the fuel map is dialed in, and smoothed out properly. You can change the Fuel Enrichment Coefficient a little. So it doesn't go that rich the second you go WOT. Little by little of course =)

I never do anything on the hydra in big steps, I can't afford a rebuild right now, lmao.

But to answer your question.

I'm at about 9-10 afr, lol.

My bro has been selfish with his laptop lately, but the minute I get my hands on it, i'll be leaning it out to 11.5+/-

=D

Edit: I'll look over the manual again. Maybe I can get some insight into wth your talking about, lol. I'm still learning

Just as an update, anyone who orders a hydra from today's date forward should be getting the new Hydra (2.6) which includes the DBW circuit (according to HydraEMS, but I will verify once mine is in)

07-08 communicates via CAN/BUS and may be a bit more cumbersome for speed limiter removal through Hydra. I do not know first hand. However, I can speak on behalf of our AEM EMS that we can and have removed the speed limiter with ours. Production wise, for the safety of the consumer, we leave it enabled on units.

He has an 06. But why would the electronic mechanics governing the speed limiter be any different for the 07-08.

Because certain electronics on the '07-08 are different.

As from what I've read - the ECU's are different - as to what exactly, I do not know. All I know is that there are differences, so if someone is claiming the '07-'08 rev limiter works different, it would seem feasible.. I wouldn't dismiss the possibility.
