Daytime driving is tough, no glare, but the screen is very dull, sunlight and LCD's dont always mix. Its extremely hard for me to see the screen while driving with sunlight, I have 20% tints on my car, I usually close the sunroof shade, improves it a bit but not much. Also unfortunatly it seems navigation is 2D not 3D, which sucks compared to my tomtom one. If you look through my photo bucket you will see where I mounted my GPS antenna next to my XM antenna.

Sweet, I've been looking into getting the AVIC-D1 whenever I get the money.
Just out of curiosity, is there an option to change the color of the lighting on the buttons? I noticed that one picture has green and one has yellow, I won't be able to survive if I can't have blue buttons
