Default Single amp: 2000 watt RMS info requested

I'm looking for an amp that handle 2000 watt RMS and want to ask you people which brand is good and has solid quality.

Looked over Rockford Fosgate model T20001bd and found one on ebay for about 700 bucks. I'm looking for decent price on those kind of amps which price range goes for like 500 or lower ( i wish) to like 800 bucks.

I don't mind dual amps but its taking up way too much spaces and placing it on the back of the rear seats is not quite my kind of idea so will like to place it in the spare tires area to hide it and ease of install.

throw down a list of name and pictures if you like.

What sub(s) will it be driving? Helps to state what the load will be, to ensure the amp can handle it and meet your power requirement per the impedance you'll be using.

Aren't those 4 Ohm DVC? If so, and with all parallel wiring, that'd be a 1 Ohm load on the amp.

So you're looking for the least expensive mono amp that does 2000 watts at 1 Ohm, right?

And you know that just because they can handle 1000w, that doesn't mean you need to give them that much, right? Fine if you want to, but it's definitely not required.

yes they are 4 ohm DVC and yes i know i dont have to give them that much but i just want to have the amps that match its performance. just want to make my bucks worth it. Dont want to get a cheap amps that doesnt bring the full power of 9512.

EITHER GO BIG OR GO HOME.

i just ordered the mtx 9500 subs but in 10">
What you need is an amp that has 2000rms at 1 ohm.
The closest thing is the mtx thunder elitre 1501d its msrp is 899.99.
I currently have that amp and its great> However it takes up alot of power.
Amp puts out 1500rms at 1 ohms. Bith sheet stated it tested at 1700rms.

good luck

I beg to differ, if a sub RMS rating is 1K feed it 1k of power. My sub is rated a 1k and I am feeding it 1506watts...
Anyways...
Look into Sundown Audio if you want rated power. They have the new SAZ-1000 which will give 1k@1ohm, if you would have gotten in on it early for their pre-buy could have picked 2 of them up for $450 shipped. MSRP for those amps are $399, if you find a dealer it will prolly be cheaper.

Orion D5000 amp it will put out 2500@1ohm.

Lanzar Optidrive 2000d roughly 1800@1ohm

Just a few to start out with....

Care to state why? Disagreeing doesn't do much good without rationale for such.

Yes, you can supply a sub with it's RMS rated power, and you can often safely give them more if done correctly. However, it's not always necessary to give them that much in order to meet a person's system requirements. There are may aspects that should be considered when determining how much power to give a sub or other driver, so I have to disagree with what you stated, because you didn't qualify your implication.

i found mtx thunder elitre 1501d for 400 bucks and its 1500 rms but for 2000 RMS,, most amps will cost like 700 to 800 dollars.. am thinking if 500 more watt rms will worth having to pay 300 to 400 dollars more.

Just so you all know - 1000 watts RMS will require 1414 watts peak PLUS more power for amplifier losses. This is due to the FACT that RMS is the Root Mean Square of the SINE wave feeding the speaker and the peak is 1.414 times greater than the RMS of a sine wave. If you drive it that hard you will need to be able to supply it with that much power wich from a 12 volt battery comes out to around 150 amps give or take a few dozen depending upon battery voltage. If you want more sound then get more efficient speakers.

In that case, do the smart thing and go with 1500w.

If the subs output stayed linear and didn't suffer from compression at such power levels (dream on), then the additional 500w would only get you 1dB more SPL. Besides that, you'll often only be using <100w, except when you're trying to wake the 'hood or go deaf and actually push the 1500w.
