Picked up my 06 last night! So excited! Oh, and one thing that no one has seemed to mention that I thought was cool, the new head units play WMA audio as well as MP3 now, well at least on the iPod compatable one I got.

Also, the right hand **** has many functions, its a joystick, **** and push button.

 

Can someone post some pics of the '06 hu with the different colors?

 

Has anyone posted pics of the Nautical Blue? I'm waiting here patiently...

 

One person with an 06.................. there have to be more cars here in america than one 06. Its not like I can hop in the picture and ride off with it. But I need a new 06 so bad I will try an squeeze through my monitor to drive it! But seriously, who's got an 06tc for me, and where do I sign?

The tangerine color matches the rest of the dash colors, and the buttons on the head unit do not change colors, just the lcd display. Here is a close up of the head unit and steering wheel controls...




My car came with a CDROM that was basically videos showing off features of the car, a video version of the owners manual if you will, did the 05's come with something similar?

 

Jowie, is it just me, or is there a gap between the wheel itself and the audio control on it? It looks like the steering audio control could be a millimeter or two bigger to fill out the space?

 

Yea, I noticed that after I took the pic, the gap is also on blank panel on the right side of the steering wheel, so at least its symetrical. lol

 

I agree. I'd rather have it anchored in somehow and not sliding around in the armrest scratching it up.

Also for $260 it's not really worth it to just control it from your stereo.

I think it'd be more difficult to do that vs. the scroll wheel on the iPod itself.

My personal solution that I am going to try:

Buy an aux iPod adapter (to be determined after reading posts here)

Get that Belkin connector that plugs into the docking port.

Then fabricate something to sit in the 'cell phone cubby' thing w/ the iPod angled towards me as I drive and with enough slack to pick it up a few inches to use the scroll wheel and change my music as I drive.

Anyone know a good tool to use to cut thru the bottom of that 'cell phone cubby'? I can cover it up w/ some sort of felt material that is used in the armrests should I ever just wanna get rid of the car minus the iPod adapter....

What would really be nice is if someone posted some pictures of the Nautical Blue! The website doesn't render any of the colors well enough for my taste! I'm sure I'll like the color, but I'd like to see it before it comes to my dealer in Lansing. Hopefully I'll have my 06 tC in about 2.5 weeks; maybe I'll be the first to post pics of the Nautical Blue...

 

You can get a case for the iPod for about $15-20.

 

I think i can do that for you... the nautical blue is not too different from IIP. A little darker, a little deeper... Like i said, I have one on the lot right now. I will get some pictures posted tonight. I can even post them next to the IIP if that will help ya.

 

If you could do that, that would be great! I've seen IIP on an overcast day, plus the pictures on here, so I know what it looks like. It would be nice to see the difference between the two though, side by side. Thank moriarty!
