Yes you can change the colors. like 10 if im not mistaken, and there is a mode where it cycles through the colors.

 

nothing special... looks like they just wired the ipod like everyone else only making a plug hole for it rather than nig riggin it

although i woulda rather waited haha just to have the newer one... im all about being up to date

 

Hey tc_TRD, thanks for the pics man. I got a question though, did they give you a choice as to where to put the iPod? Also, can the iPod, with the plug going to it, fit into the arm rest compartment so that it remains hidden?

Darn. that looks good. i want that for my 05 tc.. but looks like it'd be more work than previously thought.

 

Before i ordered the Tc, i was assuming there was going to be a dock, similar to the dock you can buy for your ipod, placed in there that you just plug into (without cables).

But as a cable solution, It fits in there just fine. Cable could be a bit more flexible, instead of stiff to make it easier, but it does fit in the compartment without any major troubles.

Not sure if you could place the ipod cable port anywhere else, (although im sure it can be done custom), but it looks best to me in its current location.

 

I pictured the same dock thing in my mind. When the iPod is out, what keeps it from sliding around? I'm glad it can fit into the center armrest. Is there any reason you need to keep it out?

 

Just took it out for the picture, and also I wanted to take a picture of the scion logo that pops up on the ipod when you plug it in. I put the ipod in the center armrest vertically (in a leather sleeve to prevent scratching), but I havent yet tried to place the ipod in there flat. The cable reallly makes it harder to do that because of its length and flexibility , but i will try again later and see if I can get it to fit.

 

Here is a picture with the ipod connected and in the center armrest. Actually fits just fine.

 

that ipod hookup location is crap. that could have, and should have, been done differently.

 

Could have been done differently, but it actually works just fine, and is not crap to me since im happy to throw away my FM transmitter.

Makes sence they did it this way, so in 2007-2008 they have room for improvement of the design.

 

i think its actually the perfect place, you don't have to take it out when you get out of the car, and can even lock it in there.The logo that pops up is pimp

No pics, but I have the color sample in now. It is darker than the indigo ink, but not as dark as the blue onyx that comes on the xB.

On a side note, one of our F&I guys was fired yesterday and they have asked me to fill in until they get a replacement. That means longer hours, _____y customers, and a HUGE amount of agravation. I still have to keep up with the Scion stuff, but at least they are paying me for it.

 

Anyone got any updated news on ordering a tc this week yet?

 

er... due to a bit of a communications wrinkle, I will *not* be getting the one that moriarty had earmarked for me. He'll be ordering me one on his next order date for the allocation arriving roughly at the end of the month....er...so my order should go in in two days!

I finally RECEIVED my CSM 2006 tC! They screwed up on the audio HU, and gave me a 2005 one instead (the one with the crappy digital volume). But it will be swapped out by Wed, for a 2006 audio HU. Anyways, I will post pics in another thread once everything is in place! Cheerz!

Idk, my dealer had been saying 6-8 weeks but i called him up yesterday and he said they'll be arriving prob. on the 21st. So good news for me i guess.

 

I'm expecting mine on th 16th. I Thought 16th was Wednesday, now I know it's thursday... DAMN!
