Ordering a 2006 tC?
I see a more automatics on your list the manuals, although a recent online survey here showed 60% manual 40% auto (although probably there are more manual inclined people online I guess).
I would just like to know your estimate about what is the ration of auto/manual in the tC that you sell ?

Shadow, getting a Manual as well. Good boy, here is a cookie!
I'm not sure how I'm getting up there yet; I hadn't given it much thought, really... hm.
I'll keep you apprised.
I'm still not quite sure how I'm going to work this logistically... I'd like to get an in-person peek at the Nautical Blue first, which means that it'd probably be better for them not to install the stuff on it first...but then it'll probably take a couple? few? days to install the accessories...which implies two trips up there. hm.
...and probably one of them will have to be on a weekday. I was kinda thinking that one of the days I'd be up there would be Saturday or Sunday the 18th or 19th.
Moriarty? do I have that about right? Got any other ideas for me?
Oooh! and a cookie?! Me loves cookie!!!
[chomp]
depends on what you want to put on your car. maybe we can work something out. we have a way of doing that sometimes. we'll talk about that when you come out for your "sneek peak" or we can go over it on the telephone.

And subjective reports are also going to be helpful, for instance,
"yeah, I put the Nautical Blue right next to an Indigo Ink Pearl, and the two are indistinguishable."
That would help me out, too.
Thanks!

what really weirds me out a little is the lack of interest i am seeing for the RS1.0 tC. I have three here on the lot and it seems like there is no interest in them. curious. i am not too sure why i am posting this thought on this thread. [/off topic]

Any dealers in texas have an arrival date yet?

Meanwhile the only dealer here in Ft Wayne, Indiana is pretty much clueless (as of yesterday, they still weren't aware of any changes between the 05 and 06 models, and that the 06's wouldn't be out until September).
Is there any secret to getting a dealer to actually order a car instead of just checking the stock at other dealerships? All I'm looking for is a silver 5-speed (preferably an 06)... you wouldn't think it would be as complicated as it seems to be, but I've been waiting for the better part of a month, and as far as I know, all they're doing is checking with other dealers to see what's sitting on their lots...

On another note, I thought the 6 disc wasnt available on the 06 model, when i talked to my dealer he said it would be not problem to put in a 6 disc player. Is there any truth to this?
Well... all *I* can say for sure is that the 6-disc changer isn't available in the Scion.com "build your own" application.
...but this could be one of those things like the auto-dimming mirror + side airbags thing, where it's officially not available, but some dealers and some folks have done it anyway.

6-disc is definately an OPTION. some sales people, like the one I am currently dealing with, try to get you to by extras by telling you that's all that's available... tell them you are found another dealership that will do it, and see how quickly they change their minds.
Well it seems like the West Coast is getting them a smidge before the East Coast. So I think you are in good shape. I am sure there are plenty of Toyota Dealers in San Diego (my home town) that offer Scions. Just call all of them untill you get one that actually knows what they are talking about. They ARE out there.
