No...no specific places....just I dont think I have ever paid full price for anything. My local Scion dealer has been pretty good about discounting if I stick an advertisement sticker on my car!

rubbing the elbow on the center arm rest will leave skin flakes/white marks on it.
Uhhh, maybe you just need some Suave Cherry scented moisturizer? With aloe vera! None of that lanolin bull_____! j/k man

The only thing I have a real problem with is the cheap paint. Chips and dings easier than a ***** on an aircraft carrier (I have no clue what that really means... I just made it up). Seriously, it's sad when you have to carry a bottle of touch up paint in the glove compartment.

There's a line between 'what you dislike' and 'what you wish it had'. Yes, I do also wish for more power (without having to drop a few grand on the SC) and for all rattles to go away, but these are things I new about BEFORE buying the car. So they are on the wishlist, not the gripe list.

The thread asked what you would change, or what you dislike.

I suggested the LSD, but I never said I think it should be included in the cost of the car. I'm very happy with what I have for my money, but would have spent more for some of the items I wish to change.

I also don't think mass producing the car with an LSD would add much cost, since you can buy one for $1200 off the shelf from a company much smaller than Toyota.

true, and that's what I was saying about the tCover. but once you add a little bit for that, and a little bit more for your LSD, and a little bit more for 20 extra horses, and a little more for better suspension, etc etc... pretty soon you should have just bought a different car because you're talking about a whole different class of automobiles.

and I saw it more as a thread about oversights and design flaws. the majority of the things people are mentioning here have perfectly legitimate and thought out reasons for being the way they are.

better hatch design so water doesn't leak in on rainy day
aznbread, care to elaborate on that a little more? Tell me this isn't a problem to expect. I had a Civic with similar problems that left me with an indoor swimming pool on rainy days. I don't miss it at all...

i'm assuming you don't have a tC... nothing to fear my friend, i didn't mean water would get inside the trunk on a rainy day. what i meant was: on a rainy day or if the hatch has water on it, and you open the hatch, the water will drip off the side of the hatch and water will splash onto the back seats and the cargo area. i don't think there is an issue about the hatch leaking water into the cabin when it's closed, just when it's opening.

still kinda sucks b/c the fabric used in the tC tends to get stained from water and is very prone to dust and stain visibly.

one review i was reading, maybe from edmunds.com also mentions this poorly designed hatch opening on rainy days. i try not to open the hatch when it rains.

Oh ok. Thanks for clearing that up. Actually, I just picked up my TC last weekend so that'll still be some valuable info for me when the rainy weather comes along.

I could get an idea of what you're talking about with the hatch, though. I washed my car a few days ago and when I lifted up the latch, there was some water that dripped onto the trunk area.

glad i could be of help...

so how do you like your tC so far? i don't want to change subjects on this thread too much, but feel free to pm me about your new tC. i like to hear owners' HONEST opinion on their cars.

if you got any questions, just post away.

how much play do you guys have on your front seats. my driver seat seems kinda loose to me. i can wobble it almost an inch from the top of the seat (shoulder area), and it makes some noise when doing it. i wanted to find another tC owner and see if it's normal, but i don't know anyone with one around here...

Well, my tC is around a month old, so here's my gripes:

-Gearing (no real 1st gear, no top end)
-Hideous stock dash lighting (Who spilled the Tang?)
-Stock HP, had to SC to make it decent
-Stock wheel gap (had to drop it)
-No power driver's seat (you get used to those)
-No auto headlights (you get used to those too)
-No LSD

All minor niggles really, particularly when you factor in the price (even after you fix all the niggles!). There's a lot more that I like than what I dislike about my tC.

It has auto lights, just turn em on and leave them. They shut off when you get out of the car. Works great for me

anyway, can't you get an aftermarket auto-headlight sensor that mounts in your grille or something? I think I remember them being pretty much universal.

I like the gearing, well the first 3 gears. after that the car drops off a lot.

The main things I dislike about the tC thus far are..

- Crappy seats. They do stain from rain pretty easily and are not the most comfortable in the world.

- The A/C seems to make the car a lot more hesitant (at least with manual). I know that it affects all cars when you have it on, but in the cars ive owned/driven it seems most noticeable in the tC.

Thats really it. I love the car overall, especially for the price!

i didn't mean there weren't any tC around here lol. that would be cool if i was the only one. but i don't know other tC owners that i can talk to without being strange.

i see maybe 1-3 tC a day. and most of the time they don't bother to acknowledge me. probably b/c their older, their girls, or b/c they don't notice my black tC in the crowd...

I think that's what I don't like about the tC, is how at least in my old CRX, I'd see other rexers on the street and they would at least give me a nod if not a wave, but other tC owners don't really seem to give a damn - with the exception of this kid I saw a couple of weeks ago in Somerset, PA near the Harley dealership in a FM tC identical to mine, who I thought was gonna bounce right out of the driver's seat he was so excited! lol! Made me feel good tho!

Its the demographic I think. I see about 6 tCs regularly right around where I live and 4 of those are people that look to be in thier late 30s or early 40s. And I have only seen 2 xBs near me with someone that did not have grey hair in them. So it just depends on the people driving them I guess. It is cool to see those people driving them here though, this neighborhood is spendy to live in, so not everyone is out trying to spend thier last cent on a beamer to impress people.. but I guess when rent is over $1000/mo and a house payment is twice that, some cant afford to either
