New Wheel Fitment Thread
I don't really feel like skimming or searching the thread for an answer so I'll just ask. I have 18x9 et35 wheels on 225/40/18 tires.. looking for a mild drop maybe trd's or eibach pro's wondering if I will rub with either? I really want to get my car a little lower but i really don't wand to have to cut or roll. Suppose I will if I have to!
Here are a few pics of my set up! Tips pointers and advice would be awesome

I am on s-techs/trd struts.
I got 17x8 wheels with +45 offset that I want to put on.
currently on stock wheels 215/45/17. Do I use the same size tires or can I go wider? will it better if I used wider? I think the next size up would be 225/45 right?

Today I installed my 18" five axis X5 ET35 wheels. My tire are toyo proxes 4 225/40. Dropped on Htech
People were arguing if I upgraded to 18s my wheel gap will remain the same. This is totally wrong.
With stock wheels I could stick 2 fingers in the wheel gap, now I can barely put one in there.
I mean, it is impossible that the wheelgap could remain the same, the radius increase is 1/2 inch, and my tire is now 225/40, thats 4mm diameter, or 2mm radius increase from stock, totalling in 14.7mm overal wheel gap reduction. The car has gained the same amount of clearance as well.

That's not crazy. That's called stupidity... buying a wheel not meant to fit a tC.

will i have any issues with rubbing if i run a 18x8 et35 with a 225/40/18? or will a 18x8.5 et40 work to avoid rubbing? will be lowered on stechs until I can get some b&g's, and just one more question guys how reliable are spacers? any brands that you guys would recommend over others? any help would be appreciated and yes I'm a noob to the TC world thanks!
