Default Annoying tapping sound!

There's an annoying tapping sound coming from the b pillar on the passenger door(i believe thats where its coming from) whenver i hit a bump in the road. Anyone else has this problem or how they fixed it? Sounds like something rubbing on the paint.

I've been having problems with these annoying noises since I bought the car 6 months ago.
Is your noise coming from b-pillar or is it more from the roof area? Did you have other people ride with you trying to locate where it's coming from? It could sound like it's coming from different place when you're on the driver seat compared to the passenger seat. How often does it make the noise and what speed? Only when it goes over bumps and at speed higher than 20 mph?

Mine is coming from the top of a-pillar probably from the roof area. Some people say it sounds like it's coming from the top of b-pillar. It makes a high pitch ticking noise like a small stone hitting the windshield. It started only when going over bumps but it keeps getting worse and it makes the noise constantly. It stops making the noise when the car sits under the sun for a while. I brought the car in 3 times, but it's still making the noise. When they say they fixed it, the noise is gone only for a week and then comes back.

Default Found it.

I've found the noise. While having my wife drive the car I sat in the back, on the passengers side. Used my ear to narrow down the area. Pulled the cloth gasket forward to separate the head liner, and found it. The noise got louder when I pulled down the head liner. Put my ear up to the area to confirm. Shoved my hand up there and put pressure on the roof metal and noise went away. See pictures. This area is located behind the rear seat sun roof, on passenger side.

Did you do anything to get rid of the noise?

Yes layed 2 papers towels down onto the head liner below metal (___ seen in pictures) and sprayed liberally with WD40. Noise has not come back. I left the doubled up paper towels up in the area, and sealed it back up, by pushing the cloth gasket/ring back into place.

the 3rd and 4th pictures above show the metal and head liner separated. This is where I laid some paper towels and sprayed WD40 with one of those red straw things attached to it, to direct the flow up onto the metal creaking area... hope this helps....

I tried opening it up to stuff a towel in between that metal and the headliner to put a little pressure, but that didn't help.
I'll try WD40 when I have a chance.
Thanks for the info!

I have this tickin going on as well. It sounds to me like it is coming from that area. it is not real bad, and with the stereo on, i seldom notice it. I plan to have the dealer check it out at the free maintenence coming up.

Not sure if it is coming from the same place, but this is good info.

I'm stil having this noise problem.
Those who have the same noise problem:
* What color is your car?
* Does the noise go away when your car gets hot after sitting under the sun for a while?
* Do you always park in the covered parking?

I am having the same issue. I notice it in both hot and cool weather. It has been consistently 100 degree days here in Texas so I don't know how it acts in cold weather. I park out in the open day and night. I hear it at all speeds. I'm going to have the stealership check it out when I go in for scheduled maintenance.
