idk about the TRD springs, i hear they drop about 1" front and rear and are supposed to be good quality but that's not enough of a drop for me. i don't want S tech drop but something in between so i was looking at H Tech. supposed to be comfortable.

right now i can't afford springs. my car is still sitting at stock height. that last pic was of someone else's MGM tC.
such a shame i still don't have springs on this

If you want in the middle I hear Ebiach Sportlines are good. Just a little less drop than the S-Techs. I had a friend that had some and they looked great

do you have any pics of the sportlines? i heard they were as low as S tech but better quality. if they are higher, they might be what I'm looking for but i need a pic to make sure. would be awesome if you had one or two. i don't like springs that lower the rear more than front. if the end result is a rear that either level or lower than the front, it just looks odd to me.

although your car looks great with S techs, do you have any side photos of yours? it would help me to decide
Could not find any side pics from your thread.

This is about the best pic I can find of her car with Sportlines

And mine with S-Techs

I think the S-Techs are just a little lower than the Sportlines, but not by much. I'm not sure of the actual specs

They are just the perfect amount of low for me, great for a daily but not rough or hard to drive at all

thanks for the pics! I want to say sportlines are the look i am going for.
as long as the rear end is higher than front I'll be good.

and you are right, I looked up specs just now and sportlines are slightly higher than S Techs. maybe perfect for me

so difficult to decide between sportlines and H techs now. but i have tons of time so it's all good.

haha unless there is a killer sale right now, I'd rather wait until i am ready for them (money and all). I'm still leaning towards H techs because of MightyP's photos. i find it hard to believe that those are H techs, but if they are, I WANT THAT.

Doh, I missed it, biglilsteve also has sportlines!
a bit too low for my (bad) taste

Just leaving this here for later reference.
Volk Racing VR G2
Enkei RPF1
Advan RG-D
O.Z. Alleggerita HLT
O.Z. Ultraleggera

Really liking the enkei ones. first i need to lower my car on H Techs, then figure out a good rim width and offset.

so post office lost my shift ****. i didn't expect anything different because stuff like this always happens.
seller is sending another one as a replacement but it's not going to be black, it will be gunmetal. maybe i can just re-paint it when i get it or I'll just leave it be. either color should work with the tC interior.

wow, 18x9 look very good. especially on that crawford tC and the Greddy tC they made. I'll have to consider 18x9 Enkei rpf1 rims.

EDIT: looks like somebody already tried it:
https://www.scionlife.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=222986
I like them a lot even thought they are not the best looking rims. they are certainly lightweight.

so Enkei RPF1 Rims 18x9 +35mm offset, only 17.10 lbs (unless that's a typo on their site) SBC special color
are going to look great with Tein H Techs and should fill in the wheel wells nicely.

EDIT2:O.Z. Ultralegerra rims are very nice too with matte graphite silver color. but i can't find out if those are available in 18x9 size.
Looked it up, they are but they are +55 offset making them not worth it. So the next widest they have is 18x8 with +35offset. that's fine by me.

exhaust leaking at the axleback flanges. great.
Any dangers/concerns?

I'll have to wait for warm weather to unbolt it again and re-adjust the gasket. hopefully that will fix it. if not then I will need a new gasket

How do you know that? The leak is so far back that I doubt there are any concerns or dangers.

i know because it is snowing here and lots of moisture on the flanges, the junction is giving off a semi-loud hiss and water is spraying from at least one point where i think there is a leak. so yeah a good test for a leak i guess is to pour water on a running exhaust and see if it forcefully spits water at you. and if there is a hiss. if both then it's leaking.
the rumbling exhaust drowns it out though. idk if the hiss gets very loud under acceleration because i only heard it at idle. i was standing directly next to the rear bumper when i noticed it.
if there are no concerns then I'm glad i can just wait for the weather to improve to get under there again.

checked your rim thread about those rims. looks very nice. I might be able to get away with 18x9 with similar offset but we'll see.

So i found out people just plasti-dip their cars to get it that color i wanted:

They even did it to that awesome matte green FRS showcar with bronze rims.

How would a tC2 look in this plasti-dip color? I wouldn't want to look retarded haha.

but i think it would still cost a lot to get it done well at a shop so i may as well forget it. why spend money to dip when just a bit more can buy a real paintjob...i keep reasoning my way out of mods lol. probably for the better this time around.
